Hi & welcome @BlessedGmaof4! 100 lbs off is going to take time, and then of course maintenance means we continue on or it was all for naught. I'm willing to bet that by age 64 you have lost and gained many, many lbs! Are you fed up enough (see what I did there π) to get off the rollercoaster and just persevere and workβ¦

Hey all - I am experimenting with carb cycling for a couple of weeks, I know my bod is more efficient on lower carbs - but I like carbs π dang it! I did Atkins/Keto a few years ago (right before Covid) and since I am a carnivore really didn't mind it for a spell and lost a good amount (around 50 lbs), but eventually fellβ¦

Hi Mel, yes, I am in BC. I have not been to NFLD/Labrador but I have been to New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI (crossing the 'new' bridge lol). PEI was exactly as I imagined it - very tidy & green! My daughter went to UofT for law school, so we drove across Canada twice (and thru the States once), as well as headed eastβ¦

I decided to try a little carb cycling to see if that Kickstarts anything, supposed to aid in losing proportionately more fat, so that's good! Plan is to do 2 low carb days (max 50 net), 4 moderate days (aiming for 150 net) and then 1 day with no carb restrictions but keep within maintenance calories - started this weekβ¦

Mel, where do you live? I ask because I really need to make a modest walking commitment and you sound like my speed lol! The Maritimes are really lovely and friendly. Good goal!

I use the food comments section of diary to record the time of my first & last meals, but I would love for there to be a proper place to record this info that would also then calculate the fasting window (or eating window if easier, but would prefer fasting window) for me to be able to look back on to review the week,β¦

Ann, nice that you added those extra motivating measures that help keep you active independent of 'feelings'. I found it helpful. Thank you π My doctor retired last year, sigh. And my dentist (whom I loved, can you believe it??) at the beginning of this year.

Hey all, looking forward to a lovely Summer weekend - taking my grandkids to mini golf β³οΈ tomorrow and then for a dip in my daughter's (Auntie's) pool. I always babysit them Saturdays as son & wife both work that day. I am doing good with food since getting home from my vacation, back down to pretrip weight and hope to seeβ¦

My new mini goal is to be able to put the tray down all the way on an airplane. I am off to Disneyland in October. My last related goal was to no longer need a seatbelt extender and that happened in June, 2 different type of aircraft, seatbelts fit!

Fantastic progress π you have made - you inspire me every day β€οΈ

Hello, my only 'advice' is to share my Headspace... I have been overweight (obese mostly) for about 30 years. Over the years I have tried to lose weight many times with many different plans & approaches; sometimes losing a lot (like 50 or even 80 lbs), sometimes sticking with it for a year or more, but eventually fallingβ¦

Woot! Woot! Made it back to my pre-cruise weight today, that feels good π. Most of it came off right away, but then it became more of a trickle - but today a 1.5 lb whoosh and it is gone π Happy Canada Day π¨π¦ to all my fellow Canadians, hope you are enjoying and reflecting upon all our great country has to offer. β€ Hey USAβ¦

@swimmom_1, that's really great about using the poles. Just shows what progress can be made, at any age + will certainly up the calorie burn π₯ for your workouts!

I am having no glitch issues, no freezing etc, and my Fitbit is syncing fine. So far so good, right? I must say, I really don't pay attention to the dashboard but would like to be able to see my dashboard for prior days - at midnight it resets, so you can literally never see your completed day unless you check at 11:59pmβ¦

Good for you π π π and for everyone reading this - make sure you eat lots of protein while losing weight to preserve as much muscle mass as possible!

Hi @mybentley7 - 22lbs off since May 1?? π π π , I started at basically 300lbs and agree with you about focusing on losing/controlling food first (and foremost) and then adding activity/exercise. I am now around 250 and feel amazingly better & more mobile but still have primarily a food focus until I get below 200 for me.β¦

Agreed, Ann I'm sure your funk has lifted! So nice to be approaching Summer.

Hey pals, sorry for being largely absent lately; I am struggling with my appetite, food choices and calories, but I am logging everything and not giving up!! I switched my target to maintenance per advice on these boards and I think it is helping to take the pressure off. I couldn't really be up 5 lbs...but that's what theβ¦

@rubyjulylj - welcome and congrats on reaching onederland!π I was first chubby in grade 3, so I can relate π

Hi Nicole and welcome! This app makes it very easy to log your food and track your calories. I joined last August and I am so glad I did π. Check around the boards for a group or a challenge to join, everyone is very friendly that I've come across. It certainly makes the journey easier to have someone to celebrate with orβ¦

Hi Ruth, I β€ this app too! I just reached 280 days logging (joined last August), down 47 lbs without increasing my activity all that much. It is like an adventure to see how well I can eat and still make my calorie target (or very close). Someday I will get more serious about exercise. Glad you could join us π

@Ridiculous59, I β€ White Spot, but really tough to make good choices there!!

Went out for dinner tonight, my granddaughter's 8th birthday, and she picked the restaurant. A pizza/pasta sports bar sort of place (Boston Pizza for those in Western Canada π¨π¦ π). It was Pasta Tuesday. I had thought ahead of time that I would probably have the pecan chicken salad, have it often and it is delish. Hadβ¦

Hey all! Welcome to the newbies π I am exercise phobic myself π€£ and have yet to actually develop the habit of anything. I do try to be more mindful about just moving around a bit more vs being super lazy and 'thrifty' with my movements π Weight-loss is largely about diet, but healthy bodies (and minds apparently) need atβ¦

Dear Lord, no! I seem to be fine, using app on an android...

Welcome @jstcallmesassy61! Personally, I click that button practically every day lol - I love seeing a new projected low if I keep up what I'm doing and a new "decade" as I approach it! And who doesn't mind a few "Atta girls" from my "friends" ππ? I agree with Ann though, a more nuanced calculation would be moreβ¦
