Well, definitely a stall this past week. But I'll take that over a gain (I know the number is up but its not significant enough for me to call it a gain), August 30: 190.6 September 6: 188.8 September 13: 189.1 September 20: September 27: October 4:

I feel like my start to this month is so good weight loss wise I'm a bit nervous how the rest of the month will go. Anyone else get like that- almost like you are waiting for the other shoe to drop? It was also such a busy start with my oldest halfling going into Kindergarten and starting both soccer and bowling that I'mโฆ

This was my problem as well. MFP is the least worst tracking app for me lol but what really set it over the top was the old-school FB friends' statuses I couldfollow and gain motivation from. Like you said, that connection is a big help for a lot of people. The community message boards are great, but its does not fulfillโฆ

Hi Betty, I'm just popping in to see if you all have any ideas for replacing the friends' Newsfeed? I hate using the Community on my mobile device and I miss seeing my friends' status updates about their progress and daily/weekly challenges.

My mini-goals are to be able to do 5 knee push-ups and for my jeans to not feel tight when buttoned
-
ooh, this looks yummy! I'm going to have to give it a try

Dropping a feature that will apparently cost the app customers instead of improving the coding to be more up to date and provide a better experience for a tax write-off would be incredibly short sighted and shareholders tend to not enjoy seeing any sort of drop off in usage numbers. Itโs still early but itโs reminding meโฆ

That sounds extremely short-sighted.

I expect them to care as long as doing so can make them money. I'm struggling to see how this change will make them money. Sure, removing the Newsfeed instead of updating the code reduces a cost they needed to spend, I suppose. But from the reaction here getting rid of the Newsfeed will reduce the number of premium usersโฆ

I agree the right mindset is important. But is this 'all-or-nothing' mindset really the right one? I've never had luck with this kind of start personally, though I suppose some have. What's wrong with starting off with smaller portions to fit your calories instead of completely removing them from your diet?

I met my holiday goal of maintaining! Now to head into the new year with a new set of mini-goals: -workout/move in some fashion everyday all January -to lose five pounds by Easter (stretch goal of 10 lbs)
-
I was completely expecting to maintain and would have been happy- I lost another pound! New mini-goal: lose a bit before Thanksgiving
-
My mini-goal is to maintain/possibly lose over this Halloween week. Take the holidays hour-by-hour.
-
To lose 10lbs by adding three strength training days to my week and cutting out some of the extra sugar I tend to eat
-
I'm seconding checking your macro setup. I'm finding I need to add a bit more healthy fat to keep my energy stores up.

Having been a health procrastinator, I started taking away my own excuses. Its a lot harder to argue against a 30-sec plank or a small set of modified push-ups during a tv episode or break from work than it is a full 30-60 min workout.

This is it exactly. For me the weight will come off with the lifestyle changes I am implementing, but weight loss is not perfectly linear and it doesn't help me to change things and (in theory) see no improvement. Even weight loss by inches takes time. I like the emotional measure as well, its just the lure of a tacticalโฆ
