I'm still following along with everyone's post, just don't have a lot of time to post myself. July is going ok, I am 16 AF/28 days.

I drank too much on too many days last week, for no good reason. I'm sure many can relate. I am back on track now and including today I have 6AF/11 days so feeling pretty good about that. Had to pause my running due to a knee injury that I think will recur if I don't lose at least 5 lbs. The extra weight is just too much…

I decided to go ahead and have a few beers yesterday, AF today so 3 AF/5 days as of today.

AF today; 2AF/3 for July I'm off work tomorrow for US Independence day. In the past I would have used this as an excuse? reason? to drink. Tonight I am abstaining and plan to go for a run (week 2 day 2 of RYAO) before it gets too hot tomorrow. Not sure but probably will not drink tomorrow either, it's supposed to be hot…

I have been following along, not posting much but still inspired by everyone's journey. I am working on setting a new routine now that my son has graduated high school and I don't have "school mornings" any more. I also bought a bike today and will work that in for activity on days I don't run. It has been a while since I…

Ended June with 17 AF/30 days which I am pretty happy with. I did not go into June with any particular goal or plan, just wanted to see how it went after abstaining for over 2 months due to illness, hospitalization and recovery. On to July.

Like some others have said, I need a reset. I was on vacation for a few days and actually did pretty well but not so much since I've been home. Planning AF tonight which will bring me to 12 AF/24 which overall is not bad. I am going to try get back to running, plan to do short intervals tomorrow and work my way up from…

Had drinks Fri & Sat. Friday was too many (again). I was stressed after son's graduation and dealing with my parents. I probably should have just gone to bed instead. Saturday was just two beers at my brother's wedding, so feeling pretty good about that. June Stats 6/10 AF

Accountability post, 5/7 AF The two days that I did have drinks I had too many and then ate too much ice cream. I need to practice moderation. For me it seems like abstaining is easier than limiting but I am going to keep trying.

June 4/5 AF

@SunnyDays930: Thank you, there was definitely a few scary days at the beginning. @Womona Thank you, it is good to be back. @MissMay: Thank you, and thank you for keeping this thread going! @itladyee: Thank you, I am trying to do the most important things each day like meals & laundry before any other more strenuous…

Hello LA Friends! I am jumping back in for June. I am not a lurker, as I have posted here in the past but it has been a while because I came down with pneumonia at the end of March and spent the first 10 days of April in hospital, 6 in ICU. I am slowly recovering and getting back to myself but still have a way to go. Once…

My verdict for my compromise Monday night is, the new NA beer I tried, Crux Hazy IPA is decent. Not the best NA beer I've had but not the worst and, it's only 30 calories. The cookie was over-cooked but still pretty good. I was very glad I stayed NA Monday. Tuesday I had 3 lower alcohol beers which is less than my average…

Late post from the west coast... I had to go get milk after work and I was tempted to pick up some beer, as has been my habit, but I knew if I had it, I would drink it and I don't really want it so, I compromised and got a new NA beer to try and some of my favorite chocolate chip cookies (Safeway jumbo). Will not be eating…

Just checking in... had beers Thurs & Friday but not last night. I finally found Lagunitas IPNA so I had 2 of those last night after hiking and then spending hours working on getting my yard/garden ready for spring and planting. If I had regular beer at home, I probably would have had that instead but I was too sore and…

@joans1976 Congratulations on completing your treatments! I am sure you are relieved and looking forward to regaining your physical health as well as your mental and emotional health.

We finally got some sun here today and I was able to go out for a walk on my (too short) lunch break. It's going to be nice for just a few days, then more rain so I want to enjoy it while I can. I considered going to buy some beer for tonight but decided to have one of my WellBeing IPAs instead and I am so glad I did! This…

Hello LA gang! I was so looking forward to day light savings and now that it's here, it is just another dreary, wet, cold, winter day in the PNW. Whenever it rains like this, I tell myself we need the rain, because we really do, but I personally need more sunshine! I have 2 AF days in a row for a grand today of 6 AF/12 for…

@mfowler883 My heart goes out to you. It is heartbreaking to lose our pets.

I'm doing pretty good with have AF days but but need to be more conscious of how many I have on my A days. Overdid it last night but won't let that derail me. I have to keep reminding myself that I am drinking way less now than I was a few months ago and that's not nothing. 4 AF/10

I haven't been doing very well on my AF days, only one so far this month but I am motivated today to get back on track. It is still early in the month and there is plenty of time to turn this around. I think I am just bored being stuck inside with this cold weather. I also cooked Schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce and…

AF last night so I am 1 and 1 so far this month. No big plans for the weekend. Might have a couple of drinks tonight.
-
I'm back for March. Goal for this month is 16 AF days again. Thanks to @MissMay for keeping us going and to all of you for sharing your insights, struggles and compassion.

I literally can't keep up with all these posts but I will read later. I wanted to do my last post of Feb. I met my goal of 16AF days. I was sick for a week so not really sure if I would have made it otherwise. Still contemplating March goal but I think I will stick with 16 since I was able to do that for Jan. I kept some…

This web site has great, easy skillet meals: https://downshiftology.com/ I promise I have no connection to this site other than discovering some good recipes.

@lmlmrn I am north of Salem, out in the country. T town, is that Tacoma?

@Jthanmyfitnesspal I am also coming at this from a weight loss and "performance" angle. I put that in quotes because I am really nothing more than a casual jogger but find that it is more challenging (and less enjoyable) since I put on some pounds. Right now I am trying to drop a few while it's still too cold here for…

I don't remember the last time I posted, I think it was last Saturday. I have been AF all week (except last night) due to a stomach bug. Feeling much better yesterday. So far for Feb I am 12 AF/18, not counting today yet, don't plan to have anything tonight but, just in case I change my mind. @Michieb125 you had asked how…

I have been busy so no time to post but I'm still sticking to my plan. Today will be AF so that will be 6/11 so far this month. I'm going to a Superbowl party tomorrow but I'm not much of a day drinker (game starts at 3:30 Pacific) and don't like to drink on Sundays so plan to be AF tomorrow too.

@globalhiker I get what you meant about tracking every little thing, it get exhausting and sometimes I wonder why I bother. There have been times in the last few weeks that I thought if I was not consciously trying to cut back on alcohol, I wonder if I would even be thinking about it? But, I know it has helped me to track…
