Where are you? I'm in the UK and we are expecting a heatwave too
-
I'll check that now, I didn't actually know that π€£
-
Yes, they still look good. I've been changing the water every couple of days and they don't seem to be suffering, they look as good as when I cut them from the bush.
-
I'll try that, tha nks. I've had my fuscia cuttings in water for 2 weeks now and nothing happening. This is what happens when you Google stuff π
-
I didn't know you could get blonde raspberries π€ I've taken cuttings from my fuscia bush and am trying to get them to root so I can plant them further along my border. I haven't put hormone on them though just put them in water. Would I be better adding rooting hormone do you think?
-
Oh your berries look lovely π
-
Oooh good, I can't wait for mine to start fruiting !
-
Yes that's a fuscia in the background. I hope its not too invasive as I just planted along the border of my garden next to my neighbours fence π€£ I guess we'll see. They can't really complain though as they have planted a bamboo in their garden and it keeps sending up shoots into my garden, it's a nightmare π« Thanks for theβ¦

My honeyberry bush is really starting to grow, must be all the sunshine and rain. Has anyone ever tasted a honeyberry? Apparently they're like a cross between raspberries and blueberries and have twice the antioxidants....I'd never even heard of honey berries so I'm excited to see them grow and get some harvested

Ants are relentless, I don't envy you that problem. My neighbour is a horticulturist so he's growing all kinds of good stuff and he makes it look easy π€£ Your neighbors sound generous, I love strawberries, I might try growing them next year, I think I'm too late now I've just planted my artichoke seeds and I harvested someβ¦

Oh no, I do love birds, I wouldn't want to hurt them. I just want them to stay the hell away from my seeds π€£π My dog is useless, he just lies in the garden watching them munching through my produce. Maybe I'll employ a cat π±π€£

Oh no, it's so sad when pesky pests ruin your hard work π© The main problem here is birds and slugs but I've solved that with netting. I'll see what the soil is like in a couple of days and try and till it again. I really want big beautiful artichokes!
-
Thanks. I've just soaked it with the hose and I think it is going to rain tomorrow so fingers crossed that does the trick
-
I want to plant artichokes at the back of my garden but I was trying to turn the soil over and prepare the ground today and it was really hard. I have a claw/tiller thingy but I'm still not getting more than half an inch into the soil. Any advice?

Breakfast of smoked salmon, poached eggs and wholemeal toast
-
Thank you, they are delicious as well !
-
I harvested my potatoes today. It's the first thing I've ever grown, I'm a complete novice at gardening and I am so pleased with them

Chicken and broccoli in oyster sauce. I cooked my rice in a turmeric infused beef bone broth, it was so good

Saturday morning brunch has become the regular Mexican eggs and sourdough with avocado π₯

Hey π I'm 5ft3 and considered a shorty! I did try to add you but you're coming up as private and it won't let me

You might want to go back to your doctor. There are a whole bunch of different antidepressants and there might be a better fit for you. I've been on them myself and know the difference it can make when you switch to a more suitable one. I know I took one called mirtazapine once and it had me absolutely starving 24/7, itβ¦

I am definitely trying that KFC recipe π
-
Just made lunch...cheese omlette π
-
That looks amazing. I'd love the recipe for that π
-
And later on, a white chocolate and lemon cheesecake
-
I made a Mexican baked eggs brunch. Tinned cherry tomatoes, onion, garlic, chorizo, feta and some sourdough toast and crushed avocado on the side. It was delish π
-
Sent you a friend request btw π

I do intermittent fasting and I like you feel the most energised on days I fast. My mood, my digestive issues, my sleep and my energy levels have all improved since I started fasting. I also like the freedom I have to eat a big dinner with my kids in the evening and not worry if I can fit this or that in as well...it justβ¦

Same. I'm sorry you're going through this, I know how terrifying it can be. I used to have terrible panic attacks, that were just indescribable. Prayer was the only thing that got rid of them. I haven't had one for about 9 months now and hope I never do again. Sending you hugs π€
