I contacted MFP Support. In my case they traced the problem to Polar Flow. It was a known issue on Flow. Today is June 17 and calories earned have been syncing for a few days now. Flow must have resolved their issue.

same issue with calories from Polar Flow. MFP "imported" calories yesterday and today not. Ugh!
