  • I did to an extent, but I had baggy clothes to begin with (because they were more comfortable) so I just didn't think anything about it. I think it was just a combination of new job (preschool teacher, so I'm ALWAYS on my feet running around), and unintentionally eating less. I didn't set out saying "I'm going to cut back…
  • 23, and have about 70-80 lbs left to lose. Slightly less than 100, but I started out needing to lose a lot more than 100, sooooo. Feel free to add me!
  • Okay, so I'm skipping Day 2, only because I spent about 2 hours moving furniture up 3 flights of stairs in 100 degree weather. Pretty sure I'd pass out if I tried to exercise, I'm dead on my feet. Hope everyone is doing well!!
  • Okay, last post, I swear, lol. I made a group for those of you who want to join, to make it a little easier. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/15872-30-day-shred-motivation
  • I might, just because I get really bored easily, so I'll probably do a few days of 30DS, the do the elliptical one day, then go back. I think I'm just going to take it day by day. So it will probably take me longer than the 30 days, but hey at least I'll have done the whole thing.
  • Glad to see I'm not the only one who's sore. My legs are throbbing. I took my dog out (I live in a 3rd floor walk-up) this morning for a quick run and coming back up almost killed me.
  • That's what this thread is for, because I'm the exact same way, lol. Maybe try taking a break in between days? Do the 4 days, then on the 5th day hit the treadmill or elliptical, or something. That's what I'm planning to do.
  • Is it the same routine for the 30 days? And then you switch levels after that? I'm in for starting tomorrow (13 August). I hve no free weights at home but I can use two 500ml bottles filled with water instead. - - - There are 3 levels, once you feel comfortable with level 1, you push to level 2, and so on and so forth. I…
  • Call animal control. I used to walk on a rural road to work, about 1.5 miles, and was bitten by a dog on my way there one morning. Most towns have laws stating that a dog has to be in sight of the owner at ALL times, if not on a leash. Animal control will usually give the owners a warning first, then they'll take action…
  • I have a couple things that motivate me - The fact that I've lost as much as I have And the kids in my classroom. I'm a preschool teacher, and they're 3/4, so they're quick to point out that Miss Danie has a big belly (not in a mean way, of course). But they've noticed that Miss Danie's big belly is shrinking, lol. One of…
  • Yay glad to see all of you doing it! I started today (I have to start it on the first day of the week, it's my OCD, lol). I did much better than I thought I would. Couldn't really do the jump rope part, but the rest wasn't too bad. I definitely felt the burn, lol, but at least I was able to keep up!
  • I agree, I think it's all a matter of how the doctor says it. And I think they need to take into account their relationship with each patient. For example, I'd had the same doctor from the time I was 2 until the time I was 19. I only switched because I moved to another state. I'd grown up with him, so during my yearly…
  • It's not just about that, it's about a lot that I've dealt with in my life (I could list it all but it would go on for days). "This too shall pass" has ALWAYS been my way of getting through it. Knowing that, yes, it's awful right now but brighter days are ahead, and I won't be stuck in that crappy situation forever. The…
  • Haha, the tattoo isn't done yet. Still need to find a shop to do it here in Las Vegas, but it will be the words "this too shall pass". I'm mid-divorce and it's been one of the hardest things of my life, second only to when my best friend passed away a few years ago. It was my choice, and I 100% know it's the right thing to…
  • Thank you, thank you (: Pretty excited, and even more motivated to keep going now. I've been slacking and feeling like I haven't been losing, so I decided to weigh myself this morning (I don't regularly weigh myself) just to see what it said. Going to go take my dog on a walk, then start a round of 30 Day Shred. Or maybe…
  • Thank you, thank you (:
  • Thank you!! And yes, exactly! Definitely keeping me motivated!
  • Thanks ladies!! It's finally a step in the right direction!
  • Mostly Irish, but there's some German, Scottish, English, and Native American thrown in there.
  • I know the feeling, especially about the mom part. I remember her telling me that "there are surgeries to get rid of all that" a few years ago. And when I was in 8th grade, her taking me shopping for the 8th grade dinner dance (our middle school's version of "prom") and telling the saleslady that we needed a dress that hid…
  • 23, trying to lose 110. I know, it's a lot. But I can do it! Feel free to add me! I could always use new friends.
  • I'm new to the MYAC/working out in general (at least seriously), but I'm in the process of adopting a husky/pitbull mix who will need LOTS of walking to burn off his energy. So I'm going to try for 50 miles this month. That's 1.6 miles a day, but I'll probably end up doing more. I'm going to TRY to do at least 4 miles with…
  • A ton of posts, so I'm sorry if someone has already asked you this, but how did you lose 100+ in less than a year!? I'm jealous!
  • I'm seriously the pickiest eater ever. If I don't like how food looks, or the name of it (I know, that makes no sense), I won't eat it. I don't like bacon, steak, peppers, bananas. Occasionally I'll eat chocolate, but it's rare. And the only kind of pizza I'll eat it plain. Ice cream has to be vanilla with rainbow…
  • My name is Danielle, and I hate being called that. I prefer Danie. I also hate being called (I'll have to do this phoenetically because otherwise it won't be different) Dan-yell-EE. I get that quite a bit from telemarketers. Also Daniel. Daniel. Danielle. TWO DIFFERENT NAMES. My dad calls me Doodle or Doodlebug. That…
  • Dang girl! You look amazing! What are you doing for workouts?
  • Nowhere does it say that it shouldn't bother you anymore, and I think if I was in that situation it'd still bother me, even longer than 6 months. Think of it this way - you can't erase 12 years in 6 months. As weird as it sounds, if I'm dealing with a broken heart, I take one day to just....wallow. One day where I don't…
  • I have two. One on my upper back that I can't find a picture of. It's a blue rose directly on my spine, with banners on each side, one saying 12.2.90 and the other saying 12.26.2008 in memory of my best friend. I plan on getting her name added to it once I get up the courage. On my spine sucked! And then this one that I…
  • Full-time nanny to two awesome kids. So much fun.
