  • Hi Bellasbum :) I have been doing this diet for about a week and am finding it helpful myself. My body doesn't accept excessive carbs very well and so I find that this method can be very effective for my body type. I have lost about 2kg in a week so far and am also having to keep myself off the scales as much as possible…
  • Mine was from a book called 'What it feels like to...' which had a personal account in it from a tourettes sufferer who rather than swearing, would blurt out random words and two of them that he would shout were 'monkey' and 'butter'. I just put the two together for an original name :)
  • Sultanas at the moment. Sometimes with a little cinnamon too.
  • PS. There is also a recipe not in the book but on her PPK website for a broccoli quiche made with tofu that's quite nice although you will have to enter the ingredients manually on here yourself, here's the link to it: http://www.theppk.com/2008/06/pot-luck-faux-pas-and-a-quiche/
  • I've just bought that off Amazon myself and have made a few dishes so far. My favourite so far is the arabian lentil and rice soup which is surprisingly filling and very tasty. I have just made the garlicky mushrooms and curly kale and that was nice although I probably should have had more patience when cooking the kale as…
  • That's great :) keep up the good work.
  • Congratulations!! :) Well done on your success. The weight you're at now is actually my goal for xmas xx
  • I have done just that recently. I was going so strong and suddenly, gone back to doing little and eating much. I have my original goal in mind to help motivate me and that is to not be overweight at xmas (again!). I pictured vividly in my mind how I would feel at that time having to wear the clothes that make me look least…
  • My bf has consumed far more than that on a daily basis for years and has found no undesirable side effects. 2 scoops per day is not really excessive at all if you are in reasonable health.
  • Sounds good :) My starting weight at 23/09/11 is 213lbs.
  • Thank you, this is just what I need to help motivate me for that christmas goal :) Starting weight: 213lbs halloween goal - (31/10/11): 204 goal for thanksgiving - (24/11/11): 196 goal for christmas - (25/12/11): 189 I'm going for the goal of 13 and a half stones or in metric that's 85.9kg. Sorry in advance about putting…
  • Hi, is there room for one more on here? I could really do with some support to lose weight in time for xmas.
  • I've just stopped and probably put on a few. I don't have the courage to look lol. I'm getting more into exercise though this week which will help a lot. It's a good feeling when you stop though, :)
  • I hope that this works out well for you :) what works for one won't work for all and I wish you all the best xx
  • I've just got an android phone and have recently discovered the barcode reading feature on the MFP application :) I totally agree with some of the previous people who have posted saying that they plan and log food in advance as this is such a good way of planning your food for the day and keeping you on track. Planning…
  • Just remember that what works well for one person may not work well for another. We're all different. Stick to what feels right for you.
  • I've found One Cal oil spray that's, well one calorie per spray is a great alternative to regular oil in cooking. Well done on stopping smoking btw :) the only drawback is the snacking! Banana chopped up into low fat yogurt is a nice snack that can be filling.
