The close at the end of the diary is 5 weeks, which is not 90 days. I think the OP is asking about the reports graph, which is not a projection but shows the stats you put into MFP for the last 90 days that you logged in. So if you have not been on MFP for 90 days it won't show.

I'm in my mid 70s and for years have used the safe "get off the floor like a toddler" for getting off the floor when I exercise. The other day I realized that I was getting off the floor like a normal adult without even realizing it. Have no idea when I started getting up normal but I know that with more light weight…

For me Intermittent Fasting (used to be called skipping breakfast) works as a long term solution. I'm in my mid70s and to be honest have never been super thin or super fat. In my 50s I decided to lose 20 lbs and went Atkins (real Atkins..lots of veggies and low carb, not keto) . It worked for a couple of years but two…

Well..I agree only you can make the changes and if you are just getting by maybe sell the $600 treadmill if you are not using it. What will it take? Maybe a health crisis with the added expense of medical bills for you or your family of seven who don't watch their health. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh and I do hope that…

I also had a pleasant surprise. We snowbird for about 7 weeks, no scale (well there is a big one in PUBLIX) and just sort being careful about eating...but there was much more salute the sunset wine involved. I returned home at the same weight, first time I haven't had to go to damage control loss mode.

No answers but I feel your pain. I'm also a senior and use my laptop (because the phone is just too darn small to see and there are no buttons) I have the app downloaded to my phone because we travel, but I just use that to check in. I have never figured out how to log food and such on the app so I just use the laptop.…

I don't do sun salutations but do tai chi every morning. It just helps focus the day ahead.

I just bake things that call for frying in oil, even eggplant for eggplant parm. Put on a cooling rack over a sheet pan and sprtiz with EVOO (or not...for chicken I don't). Even better if you have a convection oven, my new stove has an oven with an air fryer option (waitint for it to come in)

Yep--it's just portion size. BTW today I'm meeting friends at a good (for the US...but they're expats) British Pub. I'm trying to think light but the Bangers and Mash (they make their own from old recipe) are calling me.

I am a very good cheffy style cook and have managed to still make good meals. For me I use butter if the recipe calls for it, the same for heavy cream or whole milk, low fat substitutions simply don't react to cooking the same way. What I do is take a good hard look at portion size, and set my menus for the week to balance…

Keep in mind they are children and the advice given here is by adults, usually based on adlut experiences and not aimed at the needs of growing and developing children. That is probably why the 18 year rule. True they are glued to social media...we can see just how great that has worked out. Fortunately the OP was honest

Keep in mind that the OP is under 18...and her friend probably is also. She thankfully did tell people in another post.

I agree, but also the reality is that after 75 or so some weird switch gets flipped and people just plain can't eat as much. Most of my friends are in the 80s and some even active 90s and have to take suppliments just to get calories in. So lean protein is not longer the gold stamdard. A 4 oz peice of chicken breast now…

I'm sure that sooner or later someone will chime in and say how eating real food is better than shakes. As for me, I am at goal weight and LOVE Atkins plus protein shakes and yes, I will continue to drink them even though I'm not trying to lose weight. BTW my husband needs to gain weight (we're really old) and prefers them…

A spa day!!! Or a new haircut, something to pamper yourself.

I prelog dinners a week in advance because I have always planned the weekly menu (hubs like checking the "menu board" on the fridge to see what's coming up.) I am a good cheffy cook so dinners tend to be more complicated to log. Then I log everything else for the day as I go.

Add me to the old success stories at 74. For years I yo-yoed, then at 60 found a weight I could maintain and did until three years ago. It has taken me about a year to lose 40lbs to get back to my happy weight, having to go on blood pressure meds and slowly feeling a loss of functional fitness was my wake up call. Now I am…
