I'm 49, and was given a similar caloric recommendation. It also seems like a lot to me, but I get the best way to see if it's correct is to give it a try. Now that I've been doing it for a little I can see that I was indeed going over that sometimes, which would explain why I wasn't losing weight. How's it going for you?
