@AmberlyMarlene Thanks! It is a lot harder to start over. For me, Day 1 is the hardest. I start feeling a little bad and I end up giving in and going to the liquor store. Today is Day 2. And it's hasn't been that bad so far. We're going into town In a few minutes. I thought I'd get a haircut. We have to drive about 15…

I finally made it to Day 1 Alcohol free! It feels good. Now I'm aiming for Day 2 👌

@AmberlyMarlene and Everyone - I blew it again. I feel bad that I gave in. I don't know why Day 1 is so hard for me. I wasn't shaky or anything. Day 1 has always been difficult for me. In the past, once I have one day under my belt, it's usually pretty easy. If I'm successful tomorrow, I'll only have five AF days before I…

@AmberlyMarlene I think I can do this. By drinking more the next day is just avoiding the inevitable. I might have to be uncomfortable for a couple of days. But, eventually, it has to be done. Please keep up your good work. People like us can't just drink socially. Stay Tuned!

@AmberlyMarlene - Thanks for the support. I really need to do this tomorrow. Besides gaining weight, everyday activities are getting more difficult. Exercise is pretty much impossible. I need to listen to the old Nike commercial, "Just Do It!. I had a close friend back in the 90's (she's since moved away). We both drank…

@AmberlyMarlene - It's so good to hear from you again. You're doing great. Keep it up! I still do not have a single day alcohol free. I had planned on that day being today. But, living in Oregon, the liquor stores are closed on Easter. So I stocked up for the weekend. I bought two fifths on Saturday. And drank it all. So…

@cookiecrumbles9 - I'm in the process of losing weight also. I'm not an emotional eater. But what helps me is to plan my entire days meals first thing in the morning (sometimes the night before). That way, you can see if your within you're calorie range. If not, you can tweak your meals. Then stick to your plan. When you…

@54j8vrs4r6 - You are very courageous. You give inspiration to us all. Keep up the good work!

@MutterGans - Sorry I just posted.

Hi, I almost forgot to weigh-in. I weigh 202 lbs. I would like to get down below 170. After that, I would like to lose more. But I wanted to set a small goal to start.
-
@MutterGans - Where do we enter our weight? In this discussion? Because the 18th is tomorrow. Thanks, Darlene
-
@judyfca - Also limiting/reducing sugar is really important. Sugar is not our friend!
-
@judyfca - I don't know you're height. But generally for weight loss 1200 calories is a good goal. Sometimes you will initially lose weight quickly In the first few days due to water loss. And then you may gain a couple of pounds back. Macros are a bit complicated and everyone has there own style. Keto is very low…

@SparkSpringtime69 - Sounds fun! I haven't been exercising very much lately. I haven't mentioned it, but I've been having some vision problems in my right eye for about two weeks now. My vision is reduced and my depth perception is off. It's even hard reading these posts and replying. I'm using my desktop right now.…

@Dianedoessmiles1 - Oh! Good to know.
-
@lilith40 - Sounds like you're doing good on the alcohol thing. Glad you joined the 5% group. I have no idea how it works. But, we'll find out.
-
@Kurtize You're welcome. Just beginners luck I guess *LOL*
-
@lilith40 Nice hearing from you. My Mom quit smoking for 7 years and then started up again. My husband and I both used Chantix to quit back in 2007. I'm not sure how it works. But neither of us have wanted a cigarette since. How long has it been since you quit drinking? Thanks for the support...Take care!
-
@Dianedoessmiles1 WooHoo! Thank you very much! Did you see my request to join PS4L?
-
@cmriverside Thank you for your support. I'm really working on it. I'm trying to taper off a bit. But hope to quit real soon!
-
@lilith40 I hope you're doing well. I'm still struggling a bit. I'm retired. So, sometimes when I can't sleep, I get up and have a few drinks and then go back to bed. When I wake up, I start all over again. Although, I'm drinking very light. Please don't start smoking again. I quit smoking in 2007 and haven't had a…

I did. Did you get my reply? I do want to join your team. I posted that I wanted to join your team. It would be great if you could cancel the other team request "Any Team is Great". Thanks
-
I'd like to join!
-
@Dianedoessmiles1 I got an email saying you sent a friend request. But, when I tried to log in from the email, I got an error message. But I think we're all set. There is quite a bit of a learning curve to this MFP. I'm pretty proud of myself though...a newbie figured it out *LOL*
-
@Dianedoessmiles1 I think I figured it out. Click on the person's username in the post. Then click "Profile". Then click "MFP Profile". It says send message and add friend. I think I just sent you a friend request.
-
So this is where the chat is?
-
@Dianedoessmiles1 No, I don't see any emails yet.
-
@Dianedoessmiles1 LOL I will keep holding up the other end. I'm not sure where the chat is. But I'm sure I'll figure it out. Boy, this stuff can be complicated!
-
@Dianedoessmiles1 Any suggestions on what team I should join for the challenge? This is my first one.
-
I've been having a few problems for a day or so also.
