Thanks for this reminder; I'm in Colorado and I rarely wear a winter coat (can't say the same for previous years) but I still have several hanging in the closet. We have many organizations here that do annual coat drives for those less fortunate. I have at least 2-3 winter coats that I will be donating this week along with…

@Ceriusly1 I hope your mom will be okay. You will need to take care of yourself foremost or you won't be able to help anyone else. Hugs for you both!
-
@Dianedoessmiles1 Well, aren't you sweet! It was a nice day! :) @Kurtize Kayla looks fabulous in her costume!
-
@Dianedoessmiles1 Mine did take me out for dinner! :p @Tabatha_Cain that's great that you were able to both communicate your feelings after all. Same, I would rather have the company and at least the words versus gifts. :)

@Tabatha_Cain Sorry your guy forgot your birthday; the only reason mine doesn't is because it's the day before his ex-wife's birhday and the kids always remind him as well! LOL! He didn't exactly say happy birthday, he said, "Oh, so you're another year older!" Hopefully, your kids made it a special day for you!…

@dbeau57 I am so very sorry for your loss. I lost a friend to ALS just 3 years ago and I saw how heartbreaking it is. For it to be your own daughter, I can't even imagine the pain you feel. You and your families are in my thoughts and hugs and condolences for you all.

Squash is considered a fruit! I've been eatin muesli or oatmeal with fruits and nuts in them for breakfast, grapes usually for morning snack, and then squash with dinner or berries for evening snack.

@Gisel2015 There are also many Facebook pages that are specifically for selling and/or donating items; there is one for the town I live in that is specifically for giving - I like that one because whoever wants an item has to come pick it up versus going to meet someone somewhere, so it makes it really easy to just leave…

@AdahPotatah2024 Don looks like he's from the Mister Roger's era! :D I can't imagine washing walls (or doing any housework) in a long sleeve sweater over a shirt and a tie!

I've been doing this challenge as well this year. I've lost over 10lbs since early spring. My blood pressure is down and I don't need those meds anymore. Working on lowering cholesterol now! I'm feeling healthier and more motivated with every challenge!

Join a challenge! Here's one that I'm doing for the Fall - the idea is to try to lose at least 5% of our weight over an 8 week period of time by healthy eating and exercise. This will be my 3rd challenge with this group and I've lost over 10 lbs so far this year; doesn't sound like a LOT, but it adds up and this was at…

This will be my 3rd challenge with this 5% group (as well as the IBC ones). There are a really great group of people involved and it's fun to get to "know" each other as well. I'm excited to start the fall challenge!

@lavalily Enjoy and Happy Birthday!

I am definitely more mindful of eating; when I'm emotional or upset, I have a hard time making myself eat so I tend to lose weight during those times (apparently, it's been quite a while since that has been an issue). ;)

❔❓🤔 What exercise plan will YOU follow for YOUR healthy lifestyle journey? 🤔❓❔ I will continue with my walking and working on the rowing machine as much as I can. My "winter" hours will be coming soon which means I will be taking my lunch hour later to drive home and get back online to continue my work day so I'm home…

I also agree on protein and have been trying to reach my goal for daily intake on that

I like the Muscle Milk ones for the protein content and the flavor is good as well. I order them online from Sam's Club.

Cooking is my hobby; but I have been working on cooking healthier meals that I can take for breakfast and lunches during the work week. Homemade soup is a great way to add lots of nutrients and vegetables into my diet and for meal planning as well - I also make my own broths so I can control the amount of salt that goes in…

Specific: within 8 weeks to lose at least 4 lbs Why: to keep myself active and healthy Exercise: this time of year means getting back on the treadmill (pool is closing soon) and hopefully contining with the rowing machine Nutrition: continue to do easy meal prep for breakfast and lunches and have healthy meals for…

I am so looking forward to the Fall Challenge; this will be my 3rd challenge (aside from IBCs). I've lost (and gained and lost again) over 10lbs this year so far according to my doctor's office. This is a great relief for me that the challenges are working - it's lowered my blood pressure and, hopefully, my cholesterol.…

Looking forward to the fall challenge!

@Kurtize My husband has been using that cream for years; it does the job and even chases/spreads to other locations of skin cancer where he didn't even put it on.

I started joining some Challenge teams last spring; we did a spring challenge, then a short between spring and summer one, and we're about 2 weeks away from finishing up the summer challenge. I don't recall how I originally found the teams, but they are VERY competitive. If you think this is something that would interest…

I use the Skinnytaste.com website for lots of low-calorie, healthy meals. Gina has her recipes broken down for different types of diets, i.e., low carb, high protein, low sodium, dairy free, etc. And she has points listed for those people who use WW (I do not, but many do, so I guess it's helpful for them). It's a really…
