I walked in the garden with DH, who said hello to a friend, and came back indoors where it is cooler. It was hot out there & we were happy to be inside where it is cooler thanks to air conditioning. 😊 Katla

A neighboring farm across the road treated us all to fireworks last night. DH & I enjoyed watching from my window. I hope we have a good day today. Katla

We had rain last night. I watched John Wayne Westerns with dh. It was an excellent show featuring Native Americans. It was the best of his movies that I have seen. There are still water droplets on the window this morning & the hummingbirds have visited the feeder. 🌤️ Katla

Tracey— I have hummingbirds at my feeder several times a day between early morning and the beginning of dusk. My feeder has three perches but I’ve only seen one bird at a time at the feeder. ⭐️ Katla in Illinois

It is humid beyond anything I’ve experienced before. I don’t like it. Skies are gray & I wonder if this is connected to Canadian fires. I hope our Canadian friends are okay. On a happier note, I’ve seen a hummingbird at my feeder this morning. 💖 Katla in Illinois

Beth—I like the hummingbird feeders from Perky Pet that uses a suction cup to hold the feeder on my window. It works very well for me and is easy. I have seen other hummingbird feeders mounted on a sturdy post in the ground with plenty of capacity for the sugar water. There is one in a lovely garden area near where I live.…

I had a first this evening, I saw fireflies in the lawn outside my window. They were sparkling all over the lawn. What a treat!!! <3 Katla in Illinois

Last night we had thunder & lightning that provided quite a show. This morning there are a few raindrops & the humming bird has visited the feeder. Air quality seems a bit better today than yesterday, although skies in the distance are gray & a bit smoky. I wonder whether the Canadian fires are still burning. I hope things…

I have been enjoying humming birds drinking sugar water in the feeder at my window. They seem to visit the feeder in the mornings & evenings. Watching them is a pleasure. I fell in love with hummingbirds when we lived in Oregon, and I am delighted to see them here in Illinois. ❤️ Katla in Illinois

Happy July! I woke up this morning to see a hummingbird at the feeder on my window. It is raining here in Illinois and the rain is welcome after a dry spell. This is an area of farms and the corn field across the road is growing, and happy for a drink. Katla in Illinois

I bought two new hummingbird feeders yesterday, and plan to put them on my windows—one feeder on each window. I am planning to fill the new feeders and put one on each window tomorrow morning. 😊 ❤️ Katla in Illinois

I’ve had a feeder for hummingbirds for months. I realized the feeder was not good. I saw a bird once & it didn’t return. Today I bought two new feeders with a much better design like those we had in Oregon. I’ll be putting both of them tomorrow & I’m looking forward to putting them up in the morning. 😊 Katla in Illinois
