  • I was delighted & amazed when I visited DH last evening. He’s doing dramatically better. He is out of the wheelchair and walking! It was a very happy day for me. ❤️ 😊 ❤️ 😊 ❤️ Katla
  • Lisa— Good luck with the CT scan. I hope it helps significantly and you feel better soon. 🤞🏻 ❤️ 👍🏻 Katla
  • Kim —The photos of your California Poppies peeking through your fence are delightful. ❤️ Pip—Your cabinets are perfect. They look great. ⭐️ Barbie—I am in complete agreement with your comment about the hazards of chest freezers. Our daughter fell into the chest freezer that was in our garage. I helped her out of the…
  • I’m up and had a shower at 6:43 am. I am in a comfortable chair and have a sunny view of a lovely farmhouse across the road. Machka—I love the photos you took at the botanical gardens. They’re beautiful! Last night I watched Gun-smoke with DH. I gave him a kiss good night and came up to my place and watched TV. I enjoyed…
  • I watched GunSmoke with DH this evening. It was an early episode & Matt Dillon was a younger man than he was in later shows. DH is asleep now and I’m watching TV in my place. ❤️ Katla
  • We’re in the cremation camp, too. We were married in a lookout structure at the Oregon coast at Cape Perpetua on a beautiful spring day more than 50 years ago. We’ve taken our kids there to see it. We hope they will scatter our ashes there when the time comes, and we have reminded them of our wishes. The day we were…
  • DH & I were married 54 years ago in an ancient whale lookout station on the Oregon Coast overlooking the cliffs & Pacific Ocean below. Whales were passing below & migrating north as we were being married. When we pass away, we want our ashes scattered together from there. Hopefully that will happen many years to come. My…
  • Kim —The photos of your California Poppy peeking through your fence are delightful. ❤️ Barbie — I agree with you about the hazards of chest freezers. Our daughter fell into ours long ago. She was looking for something for her lunch at school. I helped her out of the freezer. She got dressed for school & got on the school…
  • KJ We had a chest freezer when our kids were in middle school. Our daughter was looking for something in the chest freezer and fell in. Luckily, I heard it. I got my daughter off to school on time. Then I dragged the beast to the driveway and put a “FREE” sign on it. It disappeared & I never bought another chest freezer.…
  • It has been a good day today. DH seems to be doing much better. I hope he will keep improving.💖 Katla
  • Barbie—It has been quite awhile since we’ve flown anywhere. The last time we flew, DH & I chose to pay a little extra for first class seats, side by side. The seats were roomy and we didn’t feel crowded. We are definitely not frequent flyers. Katla
  • KJ—I am happy to see the art & favorite objects on my walls. I have a number of framed pictures that I have protected with careful packing. I will add them to walls when I have a bigger place. 🌹 Katla
  • Allie —You are an excellent grandma & daycare provider. Mr. Miles is a very lucky little boy. ❤️ Katla

  • Lanette—Thanks for your kind words. I hope to get my broken glasses frame replaced. 🤞🏻Those lenses are perfect. The frame broke while I was wearing them. 😳. The back up glasses are old & are not the correct lens prescription and cause eye strains. I haven’t had the opportunity to get a new frame for the good lenses. Katla
  • I need to ship a package to my son. I had the wrong address on it. Thank goodness I found out my mistake before it was sent to the wrong address. 😳 Katla in IL

  • Annie I am sensitive to some milks & cheeses. I love cottage cheese & can consume lactose free milk without trouble. I can also use 2% milk in cooking. Cheddar cheeses don’t bother me. There are plenty of other cheeses that I can’t eat. Everyone has different preferences and sensitivities. 😉 Katla in Illinois
  • I am frustrated. I need to ship a package to my son but I am unable to go to the post office to send it. Added to that, my glasses frame broke. I’m getting by with an older pair that doesn’t have the correct prescription. The lenses are fine. I need a new frame. End of whine for now. Katla in Illinois
  • Challenges are on my todo list. I need to ship a package to my son & I don’t have transportation to get it done. Normally our daughter would do that but she & the family are at home sick. I hope things improve soon. 🙈 🙉 🙊 Katla in Illinois

  • Machka—Congrats on getting to hold your granddaughter. Three cheers!!! 😊 (((Debbie)))— Two hours of weeding is brutal, especially if is too hot. I hope you took a rest break. Sorry about your headache & back hurting. ❤️ I have a package to send to our son. I hope to get it in the mail soon. Keeping my fingers crossed. 🤞🏻…
