  • Today I hit the treadmill. I woke up really late since I came home from the arcade yesterday at 2AM. Afterwards, tried to get a new inner tube for a bike, went to a food fest, ate a turkey leg and then ran on the treadmill by the end of the day. My vision is so bad. I can't be running at night like I used to. Garmin claims…
  • @steviebee888 Right on track to hit that mark! @AlphaHowls how are the Mizus? I've been expanding to new shoe territory. Hokas are okay. Asics are always my go to. OnCloud are the best for the first 10-30 miles and then I feel like they're worse than my oldest pair. @quilteryoyo that was an arcade session. My program…
  • @Laurz9191 I have to agree with @quilteryoyo here. >5year age difference in fitness space sounds pretty impressive. I don't know the exact form for fitness age on Garmin, but assuming it's correlated to VO2 max, then i assume the further you go out in real age, the harder it is for you to attain a VO2 max that is more in…
  • @quilteryoyo I'm not sure if this should be considered nice running considering these are supposed to be rest/easy runs. For the last few runs I have been breaking the regiment a bit. Also, nope! No pain in the tibia or shin! They just burn my soles whenever I don't wear moleskin, but honestly, that's any pair of shoes I…
  • Screaming in joy! I absolutely love rabbits and everything about them. I used to frequently volunteer at a rabbit shelter called Red Door Animal Shelter coming out of undergrad. Currently registered to run under them for the marathon I'm training for! As embarrassing as it may be, we are always welcoming donations and the…
  • Average HR 149 Average SPM 171 I forgot my metronome so I went solo on the SPM monitoring Run felt awesome. A runner caught my tail towards end of my 20 minute section run. I went complete primal. Didn't know what she was running from but whatever it was I didn't wanna be behind. Despite that, I still felt pretty strong.…
  • @ContraryMaryMary habits are hard to break. I make sure my running gear allows for top air flow for maximum toe cooling Other than that, I just wear shorts and a shirt that I hope won't give me nipple chafing on runs over an hour. Make sure the phone stays at home on short runs. On long runs I take Wii strap to put on a…
  • @daria0919 hope the knee gets better. Injuries suck. @Teresa502 always nice to get in one more mile when you're feeling it. Super glad you could make it! @Laurz9191 a bit jealous. We've got heat coming up and when I step out from the cool shade and run into the light it burns. Sun's getting strong over here @quilteryoyo…
  • I wish I had this discipline for Z2 training. Your method seems a lot more digestible though. Hectic day tomorrow. I have an interview which the admin has told me they will call me impromptu as a notice that they will send an interview link same day. No context as to if it's a general interview, a technical one, or even…
  • @Laurz9191 loving it. Long easy runs are so calming and refreshing. Hoping better running weather comes along instead of being attacked by the heat. 20 minute easy run. Really need to keep my speed in check. Avg 160 SPM, need to get that to an average of 180 SPM.
  • @Contrary_MaryM @quilteryoyo @shanaber thanks for the warm welcome and concerns. Got cleared by my therapist for running. Easy 20 minute run tomorrow.
  • New runner reporting in. 4th injury sustaining from training for a marathon. Knee feels like I'm getting shocked every time I climb stairs or do lunges. Starting weak. Hope to finish the month without an injury.
