After disconnecting and reconnecting the apps - both Garmin --> MFP and MFP --> Garmin - plus unselecting/reselecting Garmin as step-device yesterday, it seems to be working as intended. Don´t really know what actually made it work all of a sudden. Thank you very much for your help Lietchi!

Yeah I reconnected them both and still it didn´t change anything unfortunately. I found some other pictures where the adjustments are made via the Garmin app. Any other ideas how to get there? :blush:
