@neanderthin I've actively been trying to reduce Carbs since I read your reply. I've struggled so hard with the sugars though. They're in everything from pasta sauces (which I use without the pasta), to salad dressings to packet meal bases. Cutting pasta, breads, wraps, potato etc has been easy for me. My Diet right nowβ¦

Over a month in and I'm down 6.2kg/13.6lb! Still remained in deficit every day this month, drank 1.5+L of water a day and made my step goal 22/31 days!

@sollyn23l2 thank you. I am actively trying to lose weight through healthier food choices and calorie counting/portion control. I already walk 6000-10000 steps a day. I will try to add more whole foods. @yirara I'm 31yrs old if it makes a difference. I've got 2 bulging discs in lumbar spine with arthritic changes, partialβ¦

Well, I'm 22 days in and I've lost 5.3kg/11.5lb. I've not once gone over my Calorie goal this month, drank 1.5l+ every single day and I've met or exceeded my step goal of 6000 steps 13 days out of 22 this month so far. I'm hoping to meet 6000 steps every single day in February!

@Mermaid828 I actually haven't, but I feel like it would be a good idea to. I've always struggled with food. It's always been I either eat way too much or I'm extremely restricted. I'm finding a good balance at the moment and hoping to keep it that way

@SquinnyDaPooh I had that revelation around Christmas, looking at photos from our family lunch and just not liking what I saw. When I started on the 30th Dec 24 I was at my heaviest weight ever. We've got this!

@AmberBusby6397 I have spinal issues too, and nerve damage from an epidural just over 10 years ago. It definitely presents some additional challenges! We've got this!

@Committed2selfcare I look at the back of packages mostly. I tend to buy salad pre bagged, so it has nutritional info on the back. In saying that, if you weigh out say, iceberg lettuce, you can input the amount your weighed out into MFP and it will calculate the calories for you. I swear mt family think im neurotic becauseβ¦

Sw: 116kg/255lb (31st Dec '24) Cw: 112.7kg/248lb(6th Jan '25) 3.3kg/7lb loss this week. My face looks slimmer, as do my hands and I'm much less bloated! @TiffanyClark2025 thank you! I totally understand not having time to make food or eat. My kitchen scales are a life saver. They've really opened my eyes to what a portion actually is and have helped so much with accurate food logging. I'd definitely recommend a set. Good luck! You can do this!
