Feel free to add me! I am not new, but newly committed. I love this site. I lost touch with it for a while when my life got crazy, but I am back at it again! I am 29 years old, and spend all of my time between work, and my family.

I am not a medical expert, but I did have to get my gall bladder removed. Actually, it was right after losing 50 pounds. The doctor said that my clean eating sent my gall bladder into what he called shock mode. Basically, it rejected my new healthy lifestyle and was more accustomed to fatty foods. So, I got rid of it :)…

Celery, pickles (if I am not watching my sodium), lemons that are in my iced tea, crystal lite packets, most raw veggies... While I do agree that a calorie is a calorie, I am not going to avoid raw fruits and veggies just to stay under. I don't just want to be skinny...I want to be healthy =)

If I crave soda, I drink soda. If I am thirsty, I reach for water or unsweetened iced tea. I usually drink one soda every other day as a treat. I don't drink very much alcohol (maybe once a month, if that), so soda is my "glass of wine" at the end of a long day. I don't usually drink it with meals though.

This may possibly be the best response I have read in a long time ;)

BUMP! I will be trying this recipe out this weekend, for sure!

The "Racing on the Edge" series by Shey Stahl. They are amazing!

To the OP, you look absolutely amazing!!!! My best friend had a very similar experience. She was in great shape pre-pregnancy, and is now about 20 pounds lighter that her pre-pregnancy weight. She is also a gym rat and has done a couple of rounds of Insanity. Am I extremely jealous of her? Yes!! But, did I work half as…

Agreed! But, if you do happen to fall for that slurpee....I will probably be there too!

YES!!! For being judge by someone based on his appearance. Don't judge a book by the cover. I have learned not to judge others. I certainly don't want anyone judging me. My kid is 12, and he is definitely overweight. He is also active and eats a normal diet. And when I say normal, I mean he does indulge in pizza, hot dogs,…

I am in! Today's squats are done!

You don't! lol. Eat it. In moderation, of course. There is a delicious chinese food restaurant near my house that does not add MSG. Also, there is no buffett, so it doesn't tempt me to over eat. My brother-in-law also makes an amazing homemade stir-fry. I can't tell that it isn't the real deal. Just do your research, and…

Just for today: I will not think about tomorrow. That is for tomorrow's worry!

You said it! I don't use a gym, but if I have on make-up at work, I would not take it off just to go to the gym. If I am wearing make-up whenever I decided to exercise, It leave it on. I usually regret it because I am sweaty and gross after, so the make-up is useless. However, the decision to initially wear make-up had…

I absolutely, positively agree! Everyone has a right to be there! That is the number one reason why I hate going to gyms, and decided to use my spare room as a home gym. I have managed to build it up to an ab lounge, elliptical, bike, bow-flex, and aeropilates machine. Just because I hate the drama at the gym. Sheesh!

Hello! I am positive, and log daily. Feel free to add me!

My dog rips the eyes off of her stuffed animals first, then rips off a back leg. Every. Single. Time. A few weeks later, she will rip out the stuffing very carefully. Dogs sure are something else.

My dog does the same thing. Yet, she has no desire to befriend another dog. Silly dog!

My dog does the same thing when she is dreaming. It is so funny, but I usually call her name to save her from the evil squirrel in the dream =) She also takes my wash clothes with perfumed soap and rolls on them. She usually waits until I am done bathing, but there has been the occasional "bad day" where she just dives her…

Great job for scraping the icing off of the knife and not licking it off. That shows a great deal of self-restraint, at least in my book!

Also, just to add......I don't exercise as much to lose weight as I do for anxiety control (in order to stay away from anxiety meds and high blood pressure resulting from anxiety). So, I do realize that diet wise, I would be better off sticking to 300-400 calorie burns. But, some days I have more steam to blow off than on…

I can do math, so I realize that, lol. But, thank you for the advise. I never said that I did that every day. It is only on the occasional day that I workout mid-day, before dinner. I have absolutely zero desire to eat (physically not mentally) after spending 90-120 minutes on an elliptical. I make a point to exercise…

Well said, and I could not agree more!!!

Honestly, there are some days where I eat the basic 1,200 calories and I am 100% satisfied. Sure, I didn't get here by doing that. In the past I have had a crappy diet and ate as many calories as I wanted. That is the habit that many people are trying to break. I posted to my news feed just yesterday that I was having a…
