I don't log the day to day stuff (laundry, dishes, picking around the house). I did log an hour today, but spent several hours doing "spring cleaning." I washed linens, curtains, scrubbed bathrooms, baseboards, floors, and windows. I worked up a bit of a sweat and was doing little extra exercises to keep my heart rate up.…

Welcome! My goal is to lost 40 pounds. I have already lost 7, so only have about 33 to go. Ugh! Feel free to add me, anyone!
-
Yep. I tell him daily.
-
No, but I have heard my husband say on many occasions that he wishes he could have been there for more of our kid's stuff. He works 7/7 now, and absolutely cherishes his week home with his son.
-
You are so right. I completely forgot about my kids obsession with ketchup at every meal until I read this, lol. Those were the (gross) days.
-
My husband works a 7/7 schedule. He works over 100 hours on the weeks that he is on, and is completely off on the next seven days. He surely does appreciate not having to cook, clean, or do homework/school projects. So, it isn't always about the wife doing more (outside of the home) so the husband doesn't have to. Some men…

Your gripe sounds like a personal issue. It also seems as though you don't have children. Yes, a career outside of the home is nice. It isn't always the best option when you have children. If you have more than one child who is not of school age, childcare costs can be way more than your income. And having it as a goal?…

I worked last night, so I am just getting started. About to get 20 down and get back to work =)

1/23/14 - 197 Pounds 1/20/14 - 191.6 Pounds 1/27/14 - 191.6 Pounds 12/3/14 - 190.6 Pounds After losing six pounds in the first week, I decided to slow things down a little and give myself time to maintain. I maintained for one week, and then started back trying to lose two days ago. One pound down =) I tend to lose weight…

Really? I usually love Rouses. I have gotten a few good ones at Cannata's, but last year they were dry! Our local donut shop has some kick *kitten* king cakes. I had a Bavarian crème one from a place called Petersen's, and I could have eaten the whole damn thing! I can account for at least half..haha! I am going to attempt…

As soon as the stores start to put King Cakes on display, which is ooooooooh, as early as mid-December.
-
[/quote] true. I have a couple of fav parades, but the rest are just an annoyance. But OH those fav parades!!! BTW, already had 2 slices of king cake this season. One was from Rouse's. meh. bone dry. One was from a local bakery. Praline cream filled. Such WIN! Gonna pick up a donut King cake this week. What filling to…

I have to agree! I have such a love/hate relationship with Mardi Gras! Love: King Cake King Cake King Cake Extra days off of work Hate: Traffic starting at 8 am on ride day Trash/Garbage EVERYWHERE Drunk Drivers I go to some parades, but could do without most of them. I am over it, lol!

mmmmm..King Cake! The grocery store is now my enemy because it has every flavor imaginable...and I want them ALL! Or maybe a do-nut king cake. Or king cake cheesecake! Okay, enough king cake talk! On a sad note, I haven't touched king cake yet this year. Gotta love Mardi Gras ;)

My strategy is mind over matter. Exercise usually helps. Also, if I think about wanting to eat everything in sight, it is much worse. If I tell myself that it is just another day, the cravings are not nearly as bad. If I crave chocolate, I have a slim fast, lol. Fortunately, I don't have a rough TOM. I feel terrible for…

Great words of wisdom! I am all about setting goals and reaching them today.

Monday, 01-20-14 Weight: 191.6 Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! No sodas or fast food!
-
I could easily go without drinking water at all. I force myself to drink water on most days. I have just recently cut out the flavor packets though. I don't drink a lot of soda, I just don't always get thirsty. My mom is the same way. My husband drinks water all day, every day. We are all just different.

I am a south Louisiana girl! I was born and raised south of New Orleans. If you watched Swamp People (don't judge me from that show, please), then you will have seen my home town of Houma, LA. Trust me, we don't really all live in the swamp ;)

I did not have diarrhea whatsoever when my gallbladder was not functioning. My blood work came back beautiful as well. Only my cholesterol was slightly elevated. My doctor also was not concerned about it. She preferred to treat me for anxiety (Xanax), depression (tons of different anti-depressants that made me depressed),…

I am 29 as well, feel free to add me anyone! I am newly committed and ready to drop some more weight!
-
Definitely ask for the HIDA scan. That was the only thing that was able to diagnose my gallbladder.
-
Hi! Feel free to add me! I am not new, but newly committed. A little motivation goes a long way =)

I weighed in at 197 today!

I am in!

Lynetta - That is usually the way that I have to do it. I typically carve out a time mid-afternoon if I am in the office for the day. If I am visiting clients I do it in the evening. This next week or two will be rough, because we are potty training the pup, and I am slammed at work. Our puppy had to be spayed before we…

I am in a very similar situation. I am newly committed and ready to do this! I have some great friends that I have met along the way, and am looking forward to meeting some new ones! Feel free to add me ;)

Hi, my name is Becky and I am 29 years old. I have been on MFP for about 2 1/2 years and I absolutely love it! I am looking to lose about 40-50 pounds. I have a home gym (bow-flex, elliptical, ab-lounge, free weights, stationary bike, and stability balls. I also have a home office. It is nice, but is also not as easy to…

Yep. You said it. Lose it before 30 ;) I am in that same boat, lol! I will be 30 in September, and I want to be 30 pounds lighter (if not more). I lost 50 pounds in 2007 and it felt amazing. I did so well for a few years and kept it off, and then everything went to **** with stress at work, at home, etc. and I put those…
