  • Yay! You are totally on the fast track to 179!
  • After all of that, did not wind up eating the home chef last night. Jason got out of work too late and I was too hungry. I ate leftover steak, a couple frittos, 2 lindt truffles, and a few pieces of cheese wrapped in sopprosseta. About 1100 calories. Not the best food, but once I broke the fasting seal I wanted to eat…
  • It's just me and the boyfriend, and it's been a great solution to our takeout problem. Definitely not for everyone, but cheaper than take out 3 nights a week! We both work so much, the decision for what to make we get put off and we'd just get take out. We're still cooking the meals, but there's much less thought involved…
  • It's $9.99 per serving. Each meal is 2 servings, and you have to get at least 2 meals a week. But you can skip weeks whenever you want. And if you get 3 or more meals, shipping is free. If you want to try it, let me know! I have money off offers I can give. We were worried a serving wouldn't be enough food for Jason (he's…
  • It's amazing how much stuff (water and poop!) our body can hold on it. That's gotta feel pretty good!
  • I had caffeine in my tea yesterday, which Ii realize is probably why I haven't been sleeping as well night since I originally cut it out. So Herbal tea only today. We'll see if that does the trick. We got three home chefs for the week, and decided to not do the salmon last night. That will be tonight's dinner, since it…
  • Thank you! I've been reading a lot how fasting can delay, prevent, or help with systems of Parkinson's. My dad has it, and I want to do everything I can to not get it (thus the eating healthier, loosing weight, exercising, etc). Fasting seems to have a huge impact on repairing brain cells in both regards to Parkinson's and…
  • I think our tastebuds change as we don't eat or eat certain foods, too. They adapt a bit. So maybe the pizza tasted different because your tastebuds ae different.
  • Salt is the worst! If you did some weight training, your muscles can be holding on to that longer, too. And that is sometimes harder to get rid of than the salt bloat. You're going to get a big woosh of a loss one of these days!
  • You're doing so awesome! Congrats!
  • So I know this isn't the same as arthritis, but I'm developing plantar fasciitis in my right foot, and yoga has really helped me ease the pain and use it like a normal person. Might be something gentle on days your back is really hurting.
  • Good morning (afternoon?) everyone! Jason wanted chinese, I wanted not that, so we comprimised and got sushi. So lots of healthy protien for me last night, but also a lot of salt. Still puffy today, but I know I was under my calorie goal so all will be ok in the end. Tonight we have another home chef. More salmon. I'm…
  • Oh salt, how I love you and hate what you do to me. Also chocolate. We've got this! Salt weight is temporary!
  • I don't know if it counters the water retention exactly, but it helps me feel better. So I'll still call it a win.
  • 2 pound loss is still great! I'm in the same boat. We've got this!
  • Well, I started typing this up this morning but computer crash, so here we go again. I was 159.6 Saturday! back under 160 felt really good. I was at second job Saturday, and my students brought me hot chocolate, which spiked my blood sugar, so then I ate more to feel better. Wound up eating about 2400 cals, which is about…
  • The bar does things a little weird sometimes, but it was very tasty. We go a lot of trivia on Wednesdays, so that might become my standard order. Relatively healthy. Last night I had the home chef, and I did wind up eating a serving of the cheese and proscuito while I was cleaning the kitchen/prepping dinner. OMAD became…
  • Your meals look so good! You've got this. Weird random sodium bloat happens. You're doing awesome. It'll get there.
  • Oooph, no sugar. You're doing awesome!
  • The shrimp and grits were so good! I'll definitely get that one again. Last night i wound up eating chicken Maryland. It was grilled chicken breast (8ish oz), with hollandaise sauce, lump crab meat, and dice tomatoes, with aside of mashed potatoes and veggies. I also treated myself to ice-cream. Came to about 1200…
  • Morning everyone! I feel so much more energized in the mornings (though I still hate getting out of bed. I blame the dog for wanting to cuddle). Last night I wound up eating Spicy cajun shrimp and grits, a cheese stick, and a glazed donut. The glazed donut was at work and had been staring at me for 2 days. I made it until…
  • Thanks guys! I'm feeling pretty good today. Not as sluggish after waking up. I have a meeting tonight for second job, so I left boyfriend in charge of deciding what we're eating tonight. We have a home chef being delivered, so he's got 3 choices and I'll be surprised. Still deciding how I want to log my weight, so bear…
  • Morning everyone. Dinner on Friday was delicous and I ate far too much. But that being my only meal, wasn't as big a deal. On weekends I eat two meals a day, as kind of my 'off days.' On Saturday I had a lamb Pita from Zoe's kitchen for lunch, and a bowl of ham and bean soup for dinner. Yesterday was one of my best…
  • Start weight: 163.3 Current weight: 161.2 Caffeine withdrawal is hitting me hard. I'm on day 3 with no soda. But I'm getting there. We had the home chef last night, and I also had tea with a bit of honey, 2 cheese sticks, and a spoonful of peanut butter to get me up to 999 calories. Tonight we're eating out at one of my…
  • Thanks ladies. One thing I forgot to mention, our 5k team raised over $10,000 for research towards desmoid tumors. So even though I wasn't able to run and that was personally disappointing, it was still a great (rainy) day.
  • I'm in the same boat. We can do it!
  • Hi everyone. As you can see, I've been pretty quiet lately. I hurt my foot over the summer, and I've been dealing with that injury. I wasn't able to run the 5k, but I did still walk it. That was really disappointing. I went from not being able to run at all (like less than a minute straight), to running over 15 minutes…
  • Thanks guys! I'm really going to try to get better with checking in. And catching up with all of you and your journeys. Still fighting off the post con/eating like crap bloat. Feeling not as puffy, but it's still there. I've started calling it the pizza puff, since that was pretty much all I ate all weekend. Last night we…
  • Oh man, I can't believe it's been almost a month. Sorry guys! I've stuck with OMAD, with a few exceptions for special events. My goal was to hit 163 by May 17th (graduation day from my masters program), to give me an even 20lbs lost. When I stepped on the scale that morning, I was at 162.2! We had a comic con weekend this…
  • Hah, totally fair. I always said the same thing, and I am a good cook at what I know how to cook. I can do all sorts of killer pasta dishes. But that winds up being a lot of pasta. This has worked really well for us in eating better, healthier meals, and not eating out as much. Also saving money on that front. But it is…
