  • Of course you'll be pretty! I just wore my 'normal' shoes (high) and normal undies. You can worry about the 'right' underwear when you get to the fittings :-)
  • I sometimes have that microwave Steam Fresh fish & microed sweet potato or salad. The girls at work couldn't believe when I cooked a steak on the sandwich press either... (Wrap in in foil so its quick to clean) Other than that I go with hot chicken from Woolies with cherry tomatoes and some nuts, or Beans & ham. On…
  • I'm very lucky to have visited lots of fabulous places already. The upside to being from the UK (and Eurpoe) is that so much is so close. Something I didn't really appreciate until we moved to Australia!! Doing Singapore for our honeymoon in 3 months on the way back to Aus. Hopefully Rome after my friends wedding next…
  • 29, also a Graphic Designer & squash my 40 hour week into 4 days so my *kitten* is well & truly glued to the seat for 4 days lol. Getting up at 4.30 to 5am to get my workouts in. Add if you need some support
  • You're on here posting so something is telling you that you still want it. It has to be for you. I started so many times because I felt I should but when your back and decided that you can do this then you will! (with a little help from your MFP friends!) xx
  • My copy has just arrived & starting on Monday. Is it sad I'm really excited?! How are you finding it? :-)

  • Wow we have to let the caterers know 3 weeks before at latest. Then there's quantities for chairs / candy / wine. I'm pretty chilled about the whole thing but I think three weeks before would have me in a right flap. Especially with flying the 10,500 miles back home and as I need to do (and bring with me) all the place…
  • The 5:2 diet is two days fast and 5 days 'normal'. Lots of people cycle calories &/or have 'cheat' days. It's fine as long as you're at a general deficit over the week.
  • Aww the chopping board is lovely Sara! I hope its a good gift I got my Dad a similar one for his Birthday, in slate, from Getting Personal (uk) lol. Three weeks from when micqs? The wedding? That seems a bit soon to me! I asked for RSVP 6 weeks from the invites going out. That way there's time to chase up the few who don't…
  • Wow! :noway: People (have you sent any Save the Dates etc?) will have opinions but the ones you care about will understand. So glad to hear you're excited about it now though. You only do it once so you shouldn't be doing it for anyone but the two of you  I hope the new plans are everything you hoped for. I'm…
  • Both my Personal Trainer, my Doctor & Womens Health Magazine all say at least 2 hours before... (a main meal, not just eating generally) Although I struggle with this, I get up at 5am and if I try and get the 8 hours sleep (again recommended for those trying to lose weight) this means I need to try & be in bed by 9pm. Bit…
  • Pre-log all your main meals! When I don't log I tend to go over too. If you log your dinner, lunch & breakfast you'll then have an allowance left for snacks which you can then decide on the day. Have you looked at some lower calories recipes? Try The Hairy Dieters or 5:2 recipe book (whether you decide to do it or not) you…
  • Fitbit is great but I don't use it for the gym, just day to day to see how much/little I move (desk jobs are not good for weight loss!) A HRM is the best best for gym sessions (IMO)
  • Log it & move on.
  • If you can I'd also really suggest investing in a HRM. Neither are really 'correct' as everyone differs so much. What a 5ft shortie like me would burn in comparison to my 6ft 2" OH would be a massive difference, so they're all just 'averages'. Look at a Polar FT4 or if you can stretch your budget a Polar FT60. x
  • Wow you're really in full swing of it micqs!! I'm a bit worried that is all seemed to easy (sorry to those of you who are finding otherwise!!) I'm not sure if its because we're so far away we don't really deliberate over stuff much or if its just going to be one giant AGGGHHH when we get back  Flowers I've just sent…
  • This may be a total overshare (I don't show my underwear to many people ) but I was considering just a multiway/strapless bra: http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_150010449685_-1 OR http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_161010351382_-1 OR…
  • We only had one of each being so far away. We bought his best man a Skagen watch & his sister a pendant. Hmm open seating is interesting... What are you doing for your food? Aww nice to be in the full swing of it! Have you found your dress? X
  • Getting married later this year and will have just turned 30. Don't feel old enough for kids at all! Don't really feel the pressure though as my parents only had me in their late 30's but I'm sure once the wedding is done the questions will start. Just do what makes you happy.
  • You can do that :-) the time will fly!
  • Here you go: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/weight-loss-ticker/home Eek 7 weeks, you must be really excited! :-)
  • 3 months on Friday! Exciting times
  • Congratulations!! Come and say hello on the Brides forum... http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/159-brides-to-be-
  • You look fantastic!! I've never even heard of Turbofire so you've inspired me to look into it. Thanks for sharing your success :flowerforyou:
  • Well seeing as this topic has resurfaced & my OH isn't on MFP... I've now ordered my dress, its Carolina (ironically!) by Ivory & Co. NOTHING like I pictured my dress would be at all. This is it...
  • People will ALWAYS have an opinion on your wedding. Just smile sweetly and tell them you'll look into it / you've seen a wonderful idea already but would love their help on *something*. Sometimes it really sucks but they mean well. Re the bridesmaids maybe don't ask them too far in advance (4 months should be more than…
  • Each to their own. I might log it if it was the kind of clean you do before moving (or when the in laws come to visit!) when you are literally sweating, however other than that I think its just life. I rarely log anything if I wasn't wearing my HRM, but I do have a fitbit...
  • Wow! I'd love to be able to get away with a dress like that! Stunning! Mine is NOTHING like I imagined... Carolina by Ivory & Co (although I've had the train cut off!) Feels weird seeing it online as I'm not sure I even like it when I see in on there but was by far the best I tried on. Ahh well will find out in 3 months!…
  • Don't be stressed Keri! There wouldn't have been a proposal if you weren't loved exactly as you are!! 3 months today until I fly home then I'm sure it will be very real as the wedding is two weeks later!! Would love to lose 20lb but it seems to be moving slowly. Boo!
  • The US is so close to great destinations! If I was there we'd be doing Costa Rica (but that's obviously not in the US!) you can do lots of tours around the rainforests etc & beach days too. Also I really liked Riviera Maya near Cancun in Mexico. Lots to do or can laze if you like and lots of hotels are All Inclusive. My…
