I've switched to Slow Carb after a year on just low carb, which was 40-50g net carbs a day. I found counting calories means you know the calorie content in everything, so you can make informed choices about what you eat. It might not necessarily be the best strategy for you to record everything, but you're still using the knowledge you now have.
