• Are you achieving that rate of loss with your current plan?
• Ok so I work out in a gym that is in the basement of our building and has very little in it. I follow Strong curves without issue. Also everyone at my office eats fad diets and complain about not being able to lose weight however I eat in a calorie deficit using this very site and I have lost over 60 lbs. All of your posts…
• I was having this problem but was able to fix it by clearing my cache. https://myfitnesspal.desk.com/customer/portal/questions/17486693-can-not-add-food-to-my-diary
• One thing that hasn't been mentioned that I found very useful in shifting my mind into accepting the smaller body was to start buying new clothes. If you've lost 30 pounds and still wearing the same clothes you are hiding your very hard earned progress. I was just over 200 lbs and at 170 and with new clothes people really…
• It depends on the make up of your breasts (fat vs breast tissue) as a person further up responded. I went from a 36C to a 30DD. I have lost over 50 pounds. I never gained in that area either when I put on weight. I was always chesty.

• I agree my intake seems excessive but understanding the difference of the two fibers and how much of each being ingested is of importance also. Also just realized I'm taking closer to 50 grams not the 90 or so that OP is mentioning which does seem excessive regardless of type. :-)
• This is dependent on the type of fiber. Not all fiber would cause constipation. Many times it can relieve it.
• I currently take similar amounts as I have a condition called Hepatic Flexure Syndrome and I need the extra fiber or I get pain and digestive issues. It's important to note that fiber comes in two forms and pass through the system with different effects. Soluble fiber is "soluble" in water. When mixed with water it forms a…
• Same reason I have a coach for my dragon boat team. To teach us form/technique etc.
• Hi Azdak, Thanks again for you so much time taken to assist me. I'm going to try some of your suggestions tonight when I work out after work. I haven't had a strength training session for a week while I acclimate to my new paddling regime. Body was sore! LOL Looking forward to it though.
• Yikes that's super unfortunate! Maybe this will make you feel better.... I worked for a bank back in the day and I was in the vault with my Saturday Manager who hated me. I was putting in my combination for the dual lock we had to access and farted right on her leg. I was on my hands and knees and I was hungover. Mortified!
• Thanks guys on the comments on dead bugs. I will definitely rotate that into the warm up and out of the actual circuit. :-)
• Hi HoneyBadger, Yes paddling dragon boat is often assumed to be similar to rowing and it is actually very different. I'm not so worried about the program mirroring the paddling stroke but I am looking to compliment my current workload with strength training that helps with overall strength. My concern with the trainer was…
• This is happening in my office right now. Someone is letting them go several times a day and I'm upset about it. There's a washroom. Occasional slips are one thing but making me feel sick for hours a day because you can't walk over to an occupied area is rude.
• I second the walking videos. https://www.google.ca/search?q=walking+with+leslie+sansone+1+mile&oq=walking+with+Leslie+sansone&aqs=chrome.0.0j69i57j0l4.7275j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
• Azdaq - Thanks so much for your comprehensive reply. Here are some answers/comments/questions if you don't mind. :-) Pushups - how do I continue progression? More pushups? Squat weight being low - My last workout with the trainer had me doing a barbell squat with a 45lb barbell and we had both agreed I could go higher as I…
• Would you suggest swapping it with an exercise from circuit 2 to give some rest between the two?
• Cherimoose - Thanks for your response. I also felt the change without communication was suspect. That's what put me on guard. The routine is full body strength and does include legs. Warmup 3 min cardio Worlds greatest stretch Inchworm to push up Circuit 1: Deadlift 10 reps-20 lbs DB - have progressed to 55Lb barbell…
• I'm not faulting her for wanting another session at all. I get that part of it but I feel like she changed the script after the fact and left me stagnating in a routine that I was growing beyond to ensure I booked again. The workout is not muscle specific per se. It's really working on overall core as a supplement to the 3…
• I have greek yogurt every morning and I add one of these (only 35 calories and adds a lot of flavor)
• Here are some tried and true from our home. Easy to put together and little cooking skills required. https://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/family-favorite-cheeseburger-pasta https://www.bhg.com/recipe/creamy-meatball-and-potato-skillet/ http://www.myrecipes.com/recipe/spanish-spaghetti-with-olives…
• I second the suggestion to see a physiotherapist before making any snap decisions. They can assess your range of motion etc and see what issues you may have and give you exercises to strengthen the areas that need it.
• My apologies. I was writing on the fly. :-) Thanks for the correction.
• Please read up on the difference between soluble and insoluble fiber. One kind (soluble) moves through you (often found in veggies and the other (insoluble) pulls water into the intestines. I have hepatic flexure syndrome and I eat tons of veggies and fruit however I need to take psyllium husk (insoluble) in larger…
• While everyone recommends a doctor I'm more likely to say head to a physio. I'm in Canada and we don't need a referral and I have found that physio's are much quicker to assess the problems I've had in the past as our GPs tend to rely only on xrays which can take a while and yield little information if it's a muscle…
• So fun foods are good calories or bad? Or do they all burn the same?
I don't view any calories as good or bad. I view calories like I view gas in the tank. I need energy and calories provide that. I don't want all of my calories to come from cake because I'd feel like crap but if I eat a balanced diet with lots of…
• What is 80/20?
80% of the time you do the best you can so you can slack off for the 20%. It's a philosophy you can apply to anything but works well for weight loss. I think my diary is open so you can see that I am pretty routine in my diet but I fit in treats and junk food from time to time so I never feel like…
