Kicking junk food is as hard if not harder then other "things" I've had to kick in days past. You have to really want to make the changes and put a tremendous amount of effort into it. But... You can do it, good luck and if you "slip" don't beat yourself up over it just get right back on course... Best of success to you!

Educating yourself and picking the right "team" with the most to offer is so important. I am so fortunate that in Boston we have some of the most successful programs in the US (or world actually) and my surgical and before/after care team are just rock-stars in the field... They are there for me for everything, the before…

I adhere to the no-deprivation mindset as well and find it actually makes it easier to NOT eat things that I am better off without. It's like well if I REALLY want this I can have it as long as it's within my daily calorie budget and most of the time I pass on it...

I like how everyone is so happy to have enjoyed the treats in moderation and it looks like most of us probably kept it within our calorie budget. I too had a killer workout today and walked the neighborhood with my wife and kids for over an hour for a little extra cardio...

The only thing is when you don't take in enough calories your body eventually does hold on to all your weight so your weight loss will stall for sure. It's a ridiculous concept but sometimes eating a little more is better for weight loss then eating less...
