Irish...so I have a high tolerance for beer and spirits. I know the racial trait is generalized but it happens to be true for me. Its much too expensive for me to drink either beer or spirits with the deliberate intention of getting drunk and now that I am older, I'll black out before I get drunk. I never used to black out…

Kind of with everyone else on this..depends on the kind of flack you are getting..is it the kidding/messing kind like I can't believe you aren't already taken bla, bla, bla or is it the "There must be something wrong with you" more in your face potentially offensive kind. And is it after you have met or in the course of…

Congratulations on an absolutely amazing transformation...fair play.

Yeah..this is why I stay away from the regular boards any more unless a topic really gets my attention. Even some of the people I used to like on the boards have turned into a**holes because they go overboard with the snarkiness. Not all of them...just one or 2.

Grew up in Ireland..it was just another holy day with the added benefit of a parade and searching for shamrock to pin on. I don't think that celebrations are the term that comes to my mind for Saint Patrick's day in Ireland unless you lived in a major city. Here on the other hand..its a big event. Soda bread's a good side…

I go for 1g of protein for every pound of my target body weight in pounds. So my target is 170 so I consume 170g of protein daily. Or as near to it as I can get.

You've worked hard to lose those pounds and of course you want people to notice. You take pride in your accomplishment and everyone wants the results of their efforts to be noticed. I know that I do and I think that's a very common attitude. Lets face it..there's a certain amount of vanity that comes with wanting to lose…

One word...counseling..finances together or separate works if there is agreement between the parties. Without agreement..it doesn't matter what you do. If your finances are together..he'll still be saying he pays most of the bills if that's what he is saying now.

Sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't....it worked great for me until she developed feelings and I think that sometimes one or other of the partners "hopes" a fwb situation turns into something more. Then when it doesn't..someone gets hurt. If you really are on the same page..it works.

I have...but the relationship was a ridiculous one anyway. Getting into 1 argument over the phone (over something meaningless) in a 4 month relationship which then devolved into her not answering phone calls or texts until 4 days later I got a bunch of spiteful, childish texts over a few days after I called a friend of…

Giving her the 2 finger salute works too..just be prepared to follow up ....lol

This...excellent response and no one used the word lying other than the OP. Lots of people aren't honest with themselves about what they eat or do and some even believe they are but after a reality check realize that maybe they are missing things here and there. This is what Steve was referring to. If this is not the case…

And let me clarify..I own Lyles "The Guide to Flexible Dieting" book. I like how moderate he is in his approach to nutrition etc. I also know that he is the first person who will say that different things work for different people. My experience has been that experimentation is key and MFP provides all the tools necessary…

Its a good article but there's also a lot of self admitted speculation in the article. Like anything else..it works for some and not for others and no one size fits all.

Wow...good for you. Amazing results and reflects a lot of hard work on your part.
