I second this. Why supplement when you can get pure protein in a tin?!! Besides, I don't know about you but cats don't tend to like vanilla or strawberry.

Hamster... Followed by icecream...

Breed. Miaow!

Sorry but no, just NO! Pop Tarts should be part of no one's diet, let alone your cats. You may have no trouble stopping at one but most of us are on MFP because we can't. It's just not fair pushing this in our faces (again!). I've had to lock my cat in the other room thanks to you. If he sees this thread he will start…

Nooooooooooooooooooooooo! He's seriously cute but is it kind? Poor thing.
-
Ah, so that's what they're called. I always refer to them as "Teddy Bear Dogs" but suspected that wasn't their real name. So unbelievably cute
-
Wow! That sounds perfect. I'm wondering if it's the fat and high protein content of the jerky and salami that makes a good harvest?
-
That is such good advice. Last year I was constantly craving raw meat. Now I like my steak rare but this was cravings ALL THE TIME. I started eating jelly and a tub of icecream after dinner to increase my fat intake and - BAM! - the cravings went away. It did mean I put on 14lbs in two months but it was so worth it to get…

Hmmmmmm. The only problem is I'm doing New Rules of Lifting for Women and need to increase the weight as I get stronger. Does that mean I have to buy a bigger, fatter cat or simply overfeed the one I currently have so her weight continues to rise in line with my fitness levels?
-
Sabotage, I tell you, sabotage!!! I think he's just attention-seeking. Maybe you should incorporate him into your routine so he knows you are still giving him attention...
-
That's fantastic advice. I hadn't even thought about the seasons. I'm wondering if it might be an idea to buy a selection of different cats then so I can make sure I sell and market my products well all year round. I'll PM you about this :)

I don't think he's messed up - he's probably lacking in vital vitamins and minerals (Google 'pica' - eating weird stuff to get your nutrients). You need to make absolutely sure that not only is he getting his macros but that his micros are in balance too. Some prime rib in his kitty bowl once or twice a week should help…

This is why it's so important that the OP asked the question. Always a good idea to get advice before changing the diets and lifestyles of those around you  I just hope the OP is wise enough to listen to the wonderful advice they are getting.

:flowerforyou: I hate it when people are mean to people who love cats
-
Jabba. Lol. Looks like an appropriate name if that is him in your profile pic. Good job he can't speak human or he might be mightily offended
-
They just love it so much! They jump up and down on me and nudge their grooming brush towards me until I give in.
-
Thanks for this :flowerforyou:

I take it you would not choose to eat refined sugar so why would you feed it to your cat?!!
-
Two of them are fairly placid but the other seven won't sit still. I was thinking the actual action of moving my arms while doing the grooming would burn calories? Would it also count as lifting weights/strength training as I'm sure my muscles are getting bigger while doing it?
-
Maybe you should be - dancing to it with your cat would help both of you lose weight :flowerforyou:
-
Oooooohhh, FR sent! I think we are going to get along so well. I hope we can help each other on our journey ;)
-
Hmmmmmmm, this makes it even clearer. You're a sensitive little soul, aren't you? I get it, I really do, but being too sensitive is probably why you fed your cat too many calories. I bet you are the kind of man who will be feeding his cats bits of leftover Easter eggs today because you cannot resist when they look up at…

Are you for real? If what you have said is true then I'm pretty horrified. You say your first cat died from what appear to be obesity-related illnesses. As his owner you are entirely to blame for this. How could you have let your cat get into such a state? Have you never heard of tough love? Never heard of saying no when…
-
:noway: You are aware that cats don't wipe their bottoms after pooing aren't you? That's why I won't let any animal get in my bed (even the ones I know and love).

Bite (in a saucy manner!)

QFT Since starting weight training two months ago the pounds have not come off but the inches have and my bodyshape has changed. I'll take inches and smaller dress size over pounds any day of the week.

Wow. I've just had a read of her blog and she is suggesting that we need to upgrade our kitchen gadgets. A blender for $648.95?!!!!! Gulp. Not to mention her pricey suggestions for a juicer (yes, the expensive blender doesn't do that), dehydrator and citrus press (anyone else just do like me and whack the citrus fruit in…

Eat between your BMR and TDEE and pick up big weights. It works. Just wish I'd know this years ago!

Fantastic advice. I spent the first six months desperately friending people then the next six months culling my list. Once you find four or five people you click with and have the same goals as it's worth also interacting with people on their friends list (easy to do by commenting on your friends' newsfeeds). I often find…
