Oooooh, this looks good. Bookmarking for when I finish my current programme.

Bump to read later

I'm using this one at the moment and it's working really well: http://produmbbellworkouts.com/dumbbell-routines/full-body-high-volume/ Edit: forgot to say there are links to YouTube videos with each section of the routine

For the last time - step away from the computer and stop derailing the thread! If you genuinely want people to get responses from the OP, then stop filling these pages with nonsense for us to plough through.

Thank you :flowerforyou:

Oh do jog on Pink Daisy. It's getting very difficult to read the thread with you shouting away. And a reminder of the MFP guidelines: 2. No Hi-Jacking, Trolling, or Flame-baiting Please stay on-topic within a forum topic. Off-topic or derogatory remarks are disrespectful. Please either contribute politely and…

Happy 10,000 posts Sara!

And I'll tell my boyfriend not to do his usual trick of shouting at me, throwing a pillow at me and telling me to get back into bed and go to sleep. Talk about sabotage! I could be burning some extra calories there.

Mmmmm... just had a thought. I frequently sleepwalk (I really do!) yet I never log it as exercise. Should I? Would have to wear my HRM though as I can never quite remember how long I've been up during the night.

Peristalsis does slow down overnight but it does not affect calorie burn. Some people might be less comfortable eating at night as a result (or if they have other digestive issues) but for the majority of people eating before bed causes few problems.

One of my MFP friends feeds her kids icecream made with bananas, oats and peanut butter for breakfast (freeze chopped bananas then blitz in a blender with the other ingredients). She's a very wise woman persuading her kids to eat a healthy breakfast - and it also gives her major cool points with them.

:noway: Not sure where you read this but it's not true (think Kelly Osbourne came out with something like this a bit ago, if I'm not mistaken - she was wrong too). Timing of eating has no effect on metabolism. If you like to eat before bed, do. If you don't, don't.

Definitely meringues. I just buy the ordinary sugary delicious nests. 56 calories each, 100 total if you add a spoon of whipped cream, 150 if you add a handful of nuts on top. Yep, give me sugary full-fat dessert instead of 150 cals of some horrid 'diet' cake! I even just eat a meringue nest with a cup of tea instead of a…

Snap. I just have less and add loads more veg to bulk it out (broccoli is great for this and can be chopped up into bite-sized pieces and thrown in with the pasta for the last few minutes of cooking time to save on washing up).

With breastfeeding you should try to. Instead of trying to cram the calories in at the end of the day when you don't want them, find ways to get them in earlier. A spoon of cream or coconut oil in your coffee (tastes fantastic!), an extra slosh of olive oil on your salad, butter on your veg, full fat milk, a spoon of…

Or nail polish remover, lemonade and blue food colouring... Blue Wkd!

Oh, I forgot to say that running has made no difference to my weight. Bit disappointing but I don't burn nearly as many calories as when I'm hiking all day (I use an HRM to check). But, I have lost inches, so that's good. I guess for running to lead to weight loss you have to really increase the mileage.

I started running 10 months ago. * When did you start noticing changes in your body after you began running? One month: started getting definition in my legs Three months: thighs got slimmer Four months: improved lung capacity and quicker recovery time Six months: reduced asthma medication * When do you need to get new…

Was thinking that myself too. Magerum said that 55% of his diet is carbs - not all. Mulberry: out of interest, what percentage carbs do you find works best for you? I've tried lots of different levels over the years (have been as low as 20g a day, currently at 40%, more if I'm doing a big hike) and always interesting to…

Does this give me permission to make a pit stop at McDonalds at the beginning of a run?

Hmmmmmm... food won't 'ferment' as the pH of the stomach is usually less than 2. I do eat late at night and I always brush and floss before bed, as I hope you all do. Clean mouth = no bad breath in the morning.

Oh dear Lord, does that mean candyfloss is okay too? I mean, that weighs barely anything!

You are now officially my new MFP hero

Erm, because the subject was well and truly discussed and a conclusion reached by the end of page 2 (i.e. calories in, calories out, time of day does not matter). But we were all having such a lovely time chatting we decided to continue with the thread. I really don't know why this would upset you. If the OP disagrees then…

Oh, but I think you know the answer to that already. Lettuce while sitting down = big bottom. Just one of those sad facts of life.

So, what about drinking soda? I'm trying to get my head around the science but wondering if the reason why I put on weight when drinking soda is because the gas bubbles makes all the food in my stomach sit at the top for hours and hours, rather than being digested? You seem to know your stuff and hope you can help me…

Jumping up and down after a fatty meal also helps break the lumps of fat down so they pass through quickly.
