Just started day #1 today, so no pics to show yet. But I have completed 30 DS and Ripped In 30, and it is very similar to those DVDs. Lot's of core work: planks, mountain climbers, burpees, etc. If you eat clean and give it your all you will see results with any of her DVDs...I'll probably do another one after this!

I think there is a misconception that you won't lose weight with 30 DS...you most certainly can. Now, it's more of a circuit training DVD so you'll definitely lose inches but that's just as important, too! I joined MFP with no weight to lose so I was basically in maintenance when I got here....basically had my set to lose 0-.2 lbs a month and that has worked for me. MapMyRun for iPhone. I've run an 8k, 2 half-marathons and a full marathon with my iPhone strapped to my arm. Couple it with bluetooth ear buds and get real-time feedback on your pace/time/distance every 1/2 mile (or whatever you set it at). I don't run without it!

I completed 30 DS and Ripped In 30 while running 2-3 days a week...so both DVDs took me a little longer than 30 days. IMO the additional cardio certainly helps :)

I second this...definitely check your diet and make sure you're eating clean and drinking water...there is no way should gain weight and inches. I finished 30 Day Shred and Ripped In 30 and have never been more fit...love all of Jillian's DVDs!!!

More than likely you'll see a gain because your muscles are retaining water....but if you eat clean and give it your all most assuredly you will lose weight. I completed it in 40 or so days and saw a big difference. Still, you have to get past the initial "inertia" to give up, especially in the first few days. It's tough…

MapMyRun on my iPhone. I've run an 8k, 2 half-marathons and full-marathon with it strapped to my arm. With bluetooth headphones, you get feedback on your time/pace/distance every 1/2 mile (or whatever you set it at). It's indispensable if you want to make a certain time during a race! I don't run without it :)

I did 5 days at Level 1, 15 at Level 2 (the hardest!) and 10 at Level 3. I don't think there is any way you can "master" it if you are working hard. I was exhausted some days at the end of Level 2!! Great job! Definitely use the Modifier. She always has an advanced and beginner person working with her. You don't want to do so much the first day that it hurts your enthusiasm to continue! Go slow at first and work your way up...

Jillian most certainly recommends rest days. I completed the 30 days in about 40, but I was also training for a race so that limited my time. Only count the days you actually do 30 DS...
