Don't do it!!!! I know someone that is doing it. Trust me....it is not as easy as it seems!! Plus, it is not healthy!!! You can't continue to do that diet forever. When you start back eating, you are going to gain it all back in a matter of days!!! I repeat, DON'T DO IT!!!!

It's going to vary depending on where you shop. I am shooting for the same thing!!

I have lost 15 lbs so far and I eat what I want. I'm sure the weight would come off faster if I eat better and exercise more, but I do not want to deprive myself. Some people go on diets and when they lose the weight, they end up gaining it all back because they go back to their old eating habits. I have learned how to…

I know exactly how you feel!! Your situation is identical to mine! I am trying to get back on track now and it is soooo hard!! I already hate to exercise, so this is like starting all over again!!

Can somebody please tell me what NSV means?

I think this is something that people say when they don't have a whole lot of weight to lose. Personally, I want my numbers to look better. My weight is one of those numbers. I am not obsessed with the scale, but that is the only way to determine how much I have lost. Sure you can tell by the way your clothes fit, but…

Good info!! I am one that does not like to exercise. I know I have to do better in order to see the results I want.

Get some Kraft Coleslaw dressing to go with it.

Thanks everyone!! I have tried several things, but it is just hard to keep it up. When I log my exercise, it is normally cleaning or walking the dog. I don't enjoy it though. Maybe I will get there one day!!
-
I like that!!! I needed to hear that as well!!! I am proud of my success so far, but sometimes the scale does not cooperate!! I will be buying new clothes soon because my pants are almost too big for me. As long as I can see and feel a difference, the scale really is not a big issue, but sometimes we can get caught up with…

I LOVE FOOD!!!! I make it a point not to deny myself the foods that I love. I used to eat a double whopper combo myself, but now I just eat off of the dollar menu. My thing is portion control!! That has worked for me!!!
-
I was wondering the same thing!!! I can't even find Zumba on the list. I believe some people are adding it to their cardio list and are making up these numbers.

I went through this last week. I didn't go over my calories, but I was not motivated to exercise at all!! I exercised one day last week and I still managed to lose 3 lbs. It happens to all of us! There are times when we just fall off the wagon, but you just have to get back on! That is what the people on this site are for!…

How many calories did MFP recommend for you? I am eating 1700 daily. I know that some people say that you need to eat at least 1200, but personally, I don't think that is enough. You might want to up your calories to 1500. Also, I found that eating what I want helps me. I have added more veggies and fruits, but I don't…

I don't have a cutoff time. I tried that and it didn't work for me and I am losing weight. I guess it just depends on the person.

I have the same thing in my right foot as well. It doesn't hurt when I have on my running shoes, but it hurts when I wear flats. At night, I elevate my foot. I don't think there is anything else that can be done. I just deal with it and keep it movin!!

Count me in!!!

I still eat whatever I want. The foods that trigger a reaction, I just eat in moderation. I have soda every now and then, but if I drink one everyday for a week, it will trigger a reaction.

Sometimes, our goals are set too high. I am learning that now!! I have learned to celebrate the small victories and when I reach my ultimate goal, I can say, "It was worth the wait!"

135 is rather small for a 5'10 male. I am a 5'10 female and I should weigh around 155, but my goal is 195. I think that you need to eat between 1800 and 2000 calories a day and continue to do cardio and strength training.
-
I agree!!! All of this talk makes me feel huge!! I am 5'10 and my goal weight is 195. 115 for anybody over 5'5 is too small!!
-
Congrats!!!!

Good Job!!! I'm hoping and praying that I will lose my first 20 lbs by October 7th!!
