At my age, gender and height I am considered obease according to my Doctor. My doctor and I discused it and I would be at the top of normal range if I weighed 160. So I though 50 pounds to lose would be a be a good goal. If I reach this goal I may go farther and if I happen to lose 20 pounds more than I would be the same…

Try ginger tea. You can make it at home. Buy some gingerrrot at the local store. Grate it with a cheese grater and put in a tea cup. Boil water and add to the cup(like tea.) It does not need sugar. It's very flavorful on it's own.

I sometimes work the graveyard shift and then sleep when I get home from work in the day. I have to eat some time. And After 8PM is a must at times.
-
How about rice cakes and almond butter! That's yummy too!

I'm off of wheat, dariy and proccessed sugar.I noticed a big difference in my energy level and bloatingness. Instead of wheat my doctor recommended eating oatmeal, quinoa and flax seed. If you need to make a sandwich she recommended corn or rice tortias instead of whole wheat. For a dariy replacement she recommended Almond…

I would never cook two separate meals! I don't buy junk so if they think they can do better with the food that has been supplied then they can cook it them selves.
-
My doctor believes in going natural. She told me to use tee-tree oil in the area at night, keep the girls as dry as you can during the day and let them free when you get home from work.
-
Congrats. Just make sure that if you are hungry that you do eat even if it's a little more than you should. No point of risking health related problems due to not eating enough. If you eat quality foods instead of junk, you will be fine.

Almond milk comes from the juice of pure almonds. It's a dairy subsitute and it is milky like cow's milk. Try it! It's really yummy. I like the chocolate flavored kind which has NO sugar.
-
Have a glass of almond milk. There is no sugar and it tastes sweet. It makes a light night snack.

When I eat "junk" and realize that I've been not following my plan. I read the posts of people who already lost more weight than I need to. I look at there pictures and think "If they can do it so can I." And then I get back on the horse. I'm sure they would tell you that they slipped a few times but they didn't give up…

I used to do that until my doctor told me I was lactose intolerant. The bombs that I fart are more humane now for both me and other people around me. Now if only my cat would follow my lead. You know the song on "Friends" called "Smelly Cat?" They were singing about mine!:explode:

I listen to CDs geared to be relaxing. The ones I have are called: "Peace and Quiet.", "Sleep", "Niagra Waters" ect.... You can put them on your ipod and listen to them at anytime of the day without people knowing. My doctor suggested that I do this at least 3 times a day when I was really stressed out. Now I just listen…

I was going to say the same thing about myself. Recently I've let someone just walk all over me and it's not the first time they did that to me. I have no idea why I let her. I think it's been about 6 times that she's done this to me. The next ime I see her I'm going to point out to her that she does not have to "like" me…

I'm new to gluten free diet. My doctor told me to eat qunioa in the morning for breakfast. Well it can be used for any meal.... but its a grain that's gluten free, it's really easy to digest, and it's really, really good for you. (Better than whole wheat.) You cook it like oatmeal. And it puffs up 4 times the size. It…

I've been told by my Doctor "If it makes your heart rate go up, it's exercise.".

I'm a chocoholic. I drink Chocolate Almond milk almost everyday. It's chocolatey, has no sugar and is good for you. Also I don't have any chocolate cravings afterwards!

I have immune system problems too. When it acts up I've been told by my DR. that I should eliminate Milk, Wheat and proccessed sugar. And consume Almond milk, Qunioa, and Honey. Also ginger is wonderful grated into a cup and add hot water for tea. (It's real yummy and good for the tummy.) For ears, oil of oregano, which is…

I understand. I don't own a scale. I go to the doctor to monitor my weight. So it varies when I get weighed.
-
I've been taking slow but steady changes in my eatting habits and my exercise habits. I think - for me - that I would not stick to a drastic change in my lifestyle. Not all at once. I've lost 7lb in 3 weeks since I started. I'm still making changes. Positive ones. All you need is a commitment to yourself. :flowerforyou:

Sleeping pills have what is called a boomerange effect. You take a sleeping pill day one and then you are wired when it's time to sleep again. So then you take another sleeping pill because you can't sleep. Melatonin is natural and is something your body already produces to go to sleep. My naturopath recommends it to me…
-
Does this count as water intake too?
-
I take melatonin. It's the sleep hormone. I take it right before bed and then listen to calming, relaxing music while I lay in bed. Usually I fall a sleep within 10 minutes. My favorite CD is called sleep. My hubby's is called Peace and Quiet. When I had problems with stress I was told to use the CDs anytime in the day and…

I use qunioa. It's a grain that you can cook like oatmeal/rice. It's found in the cereal area most of the time.

Breakfast=Oatmeal and quinoa together. Almond Milk, cashews and a fruit of some kind. Lunch=tuna on top of a salad. cucumbers, tomatoes maybe a few rasins for sweet. No dressing or if I do it's just plain lemon juice. i may hav a soy beverage depending if I feel I'm taking in enough water that day. Dinner=I vary it up a…

Keep doing what you are doing. Thereis nothing wrong about going to the gym infact you might meet someone there with the same goal as you. I'd make friends with them instead! These other people that call you Gym Girl are immature. Give them 20 years and see how they look.

Muscle weighs more than fat. If you are losing inches but maintaining the same number on the scale you are gaining muscle. It's a good thing. The more muscle you gain the more fat you will burn. Right now ignore the scale and continue to do what you are doing. After a bit you will notice more weight loss. Keep up the good…

^^^^ Try skinny cow's instead. They are only 100 calories. But yes I had East Indian Butter Chicken tonight and ate half of it. 600 cals.
-
Have you tried qunioa. It's really easy to digest. You cook it like rice. But it needs something to flavor it like lemon juice or tomato soup. I use raisins or blueberries at times. It's usually found in the cereal isle. Very nutritious. If your not sure, ask your doctor.

Ginger tea. Just use a cheese grater with ginger root. Boil water and make it like tea. It's so yummy and good for you. :flowerforyou:
