  • Yes, you can definitely see the difference! Keep it up, and don't forget to eat enough to support your exercise
  • My driving licence photo is 14 years old and I can't even use it as ID because PEOPLE LAUGH! It doesn't look anything like me! It expires this year so I will have a thin photo that looks vaguely like me this time! I am so glad we don't have to put our weight on our licence in the UK!
  • I don't have loads of spare cash, and I buy most of my clothes from supermarkets & budget clothes shops. £3 tshirts, £12 jeans etc. But last Christmas, I had lost a chunk of weight and was feeling good about myself and I found the most amazing £45 ($68) jeans that lifted and tucked in all the right places, and I bought…
  • If I had the money I would get a breast lift when I am done losing. I am a G/GG/H cup and although they haven't shrunk much yet, they have got lower :( Since I don't plan on having kids I am hoping to have some sort of disposable income in the future!

  • I agree with the protein, and your iron might be low if you are feeling so lethargic. A good excuse for a steak!
  • I also thought it was a waste of time and money. I didn't feel like I had done anything at all when I left.

  • I love leftover pizza for breakfast. Chinese - well it depends what it was! But sometimes nom! I get strange looks every morning at work when I mix an egg, milk, protein powder, PB2 and granulated coffee and stick it in the microwave for a minute. Its filling dammit!
  • Why are you giving foods up?
  • I didn't see it until I had lost 30-40lbs. I read somewhere that if you are quite overweight, the first chunk of weight is fat disappearing from around your internal organs. If you think about it like that, its quite a relief!
  • Ok I wouldn't say eat a 500 cal deficit if you only have a few lbs left to lose, but I am not a professional and I don't play one on TV. My bad for not putting sedentary in front of TDEE. "OP, Thats your sedentary TDEE" I apologise to all who I have offended!
  • Probably not. I calculated your numbers (presuming you are 21?) and I got your BMR as 1416 so you should be eating at least that much a day. Your TDEE is 1700. I would eat 1500 a day on non exercise days, and 1500 plus exercise calories on other days. Also, so what if you overate? By how much? You would need to be…
  • I have the same problem. I have an arm band specific for my phone but it just does not work for upper body weight work. Anyone have any recommendation for a bluetooth headset? Or I guess I could sew some sort of lanyard thing, but I would rather not
  • You can use the recipe function with the nearest products that you think are in it. White large tortilla - approx 150 cals 3g protein 125g chicken breast - approx 130 cals 28g protein 2tbsp BBQ sauce- 40-50 cals But what else is there? Mayo? Add it to your diary and see
  • My ideal 'weight' will be when I fit comfortably into size 14 UK clothes and my bodyfat is 18-20%. I couldn't care less what the scale says at that point. It won't be the end though, my goal is to maintain it long term
  • I'm in Birmingham. People can add me too, but I will nag you to open your diary and complain if you don't eat enough :)
  • And here! I have huge upper leg muscles from carrying around 250lbs for years, but since I am weight training but eating at a deficit, they are not going to get any bigger. Since the fat is coming off they are looking great!
  • No. By all means, eat 1200 calories a day (if you can cope on so few!) but eat more on the exercise days. Also, ignore the timings, it really does not matter what time you eat. And to be honest if you want to snack on stuff constantly, as long as you stay within your calories (which I think should be nearer 1600 since you…
  • I am a G/GG/H cup and I swear by the shock absorber level 4 highest impact bras. I just got a new one in a smaller size :) The bigger one is so great, I just wear it whenever I am not working out now :)
  • I would carry on as you are. a stall after 2-3 weeks is nothing. Keep at it for another 2-3 weeks before thinking about changing
  • /\/\/\/\/\/\ THIS! Thanks Jess, you look great and you are my most inspiring MFP friend! :) (Its totally your fault I lift weights!)
  • Moving to Wellingborough as soon as I find a job there! Is that East Anglia? We were out yesterday and I saw a sign for Huntingdon so it can't be that far away
  • You are not consistantly logging your food. Log the binge, and when you are about to stuff your face again, look at the numbers! Do you have the calories left to eat that?
  • I started doing machine weights in March, doing similar ones to you, I lift as heavy as I can for either 5x5 or 5x10 reps. I have seen a massive difference, I can feel muscle everywhere and the fat is melting away too so I look better. And I feel strong. For the last month I have been venturing into free weights and the…
  • Is it Download? I am going to Glastonbury in a few weeks, what I did last time was eat a porridge pot for breakfast about 9am, a breakfast bar (this year it will be protein bar) for a snack, a pot noodle about 2ish and then something from the vendors at night. Plus I had a constant supply of cider and vodka on the go. This…

  • I have used both, I use it for yoga, hula hooping and skii jumping mostly. The boxing is quite energetic too, but its not the best work out in the world. I think we just got wii sports resort? for the fit board thing too. I only go on it when i have done no exercise all day, and even then its just because my Mii is a…
  • According to this BMI and TDEE calc http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ if you live a sedentary life (office job and no exercise) your BMR is 1614. You should not really eat less than that unless you have a substantial amount to lose. Your TDEE is 1937. If you eat this, you will maintain your current weight. If…
  • I have a huge chest, and my goal weight will leave me at the top of the overweight level. Its a joke that GPs take BMI seriously! (Not that my chest size has anything to do with my BMI - I am currently just too fat)

  • I wouldn't worry too much. I used to blame depo for weight gain, but essentially birth control does not make you fat, eating too much and not doing any exercise makes you fat! Good luck :)
  • I tend to have the same problem, a high protein/fibre filling breakfast, and I am hungry 2 hours later. What I tend to do now I get up at 6:30 for the gym, is have 2 breakfasts, one before work and one when I get there. I would usually have a slice of toast & pb and about 2 hours later have a protein mug cake or cereal. Or…
