  • I don't have empathy for this. You think I haven't been called things over the years? I don't let it bother me. If I did I would be a jibbering wreck! And I don't have time for that. Also, the OP just sent me hate mail! I find this amusing.
  • Why do you care what 2 random people shouted from a van? Move on
  • Well it definitely isn't fat, its probably water. As its so hot, your body is probably clinging on to whatever water you give it. I guess give it more and see how you get on.
  • If you work out your daily goal based on an active lifestyle, then you don't need to eat back your exercise calories. Also, a HRM is not exact, but its as close as you are going to get.
  • There are hundreds, probably even thousands of people on here from the UK. Just look at the thread about stones and pounds and you will see them all moaning about the inability to use a calculator :)

  • I logged 'housework' once when I had been stripping wallpaper, sanding walls and re-painting a room for a whole weekend. And I would log gardening if I had been digging over the garden and laying 5kg patio slabs all day. I might log if I was moving house and hauling tons of heavy boxes and furniture, but I wouldn't log it…
  • Apparently I am too old.
  • Chobani is like eating thick solid cheesecake. zero fat, 14g protein and only 140cals per pot. I drive out of my way to find a supermarket that sells it. Noms!

  • Its down to your own choice. I eat my BMR plus exercise calories I am thinking of changing to lightly active TDEE -20% and not eating exercise calories. The only reason I am not doing this at the moment is that sometimes I manage 4-5 days exercise a week and sometime I manage 2 days a week
  • Lose it slowly, lift weights, keep hydrated. I have lost 57lbs and everything is shrinking back in except my boobs which are going to end up a lot lower than they used to be :( Oh and firming lotions - I dont know how much they actually work but I feel better for using them :)
  • I find choice to be the hardest. I have a choice everytime I go food shopping and I usually buy one treat item to last me the week and its almost always gone by the end of the first day. Bad choices but mine to make. And generally, its working out fine for me

  • I lost 57lb, which was a nice suprise as I log in KG No idea what my goal would be. Probably losing no more than 90lbs total Oh, and advice? Don't buy all the crap that made you fat in the first place! Unless you have a big group of people to share it with.
  • Magical 'non-water' apparently.... Each to their own.
  • I count all liquids as water. A protein shake is a cup, even when I use milk :-O
  • I am a geek by association. I don't really play many games (the occasional bit of Wii fot and Mario and a bit of Harry Potter on the DS) but love watching the BF complete Mario or Zelda whilst I make some geek inspired craft project. Mario star quilted cushions, lego brick door stops, and an epic Link from Zelda bed sized…
  • It gets boring, but its totally worth it. Carry on carrying on, the results start showing, you throw away your big clothes, and you have no choice to but to carry on getting fitter and fitter!
  • You can add me if you like. Can you open your diary to friends? I like to be nosey and get meal ideas from people Ta
  • Awesome! Congrats on 1001! Keep at it :)

  • What they said! If you are going down the 1200 calorie route (which isn't really sustainable long term and I (not a dr, don't play one on TV) wouldn't recommend it to anyone) then you need to eat back a good proportion of your exercise calories ON TOP of your 1200. I would say eat all your exercise cals, but it depends how…
  • I got ID'd age 28 for having my hair in pigtails! These days i do it for practicality. 6 days at a Festival without running water? Its the only way!
  • Its down to personal preference. I usually use 2 or 3, both parts, unless I have extra whites from something else, in which case I use one full egg, the rest whites. Do what you like based on your macros and personal taste

  • Its been 5 weeks, you will always lose more in the beginning, especially when you have a lot to lose. You won't consistently lose almost 10lb a week! I wish! This weight lost shizz would be easy! It will slow down now, 2-3lbs a week is good, then as you lose more, 1-2lbs a week, maybe 1/2lb a week when you are near your…
  • In the week I eat a standard breakfast (protein mug cake 300 cals, 30-35g protein) standard lunch (ham or chicken salad with 100-200g meat, 150g cottage cheese, maybe some fish sticks 450 cals, 60ish g protein) and standard snacks, a chobani yoghurt (140C 14gP) or a protein shake (150C 21gP) This leaves me with about 1000…
  • I sit on my *kitten* all day at work, but I go to the gym for an hour before I get there... Sitting down at work is not what made me fat!

  • I met him through ICQ about 12 years ago. 10 years ago we met up, dated for a couple of weeks but he lived at the other side of the country and we were both young and poor so we gave it up as a bad job. Then about 18 months ago I caught up with him and we were both single for the first time since the last time and we lived…
  • There is nothing wrong with weighing yourself everyday, so long as you understand that it will go up and down and you don't panic at every half pound gain! I usually weigh in every morning and I can usually tell what its going to say based on the previous day. Lots of strength training or salty food and yep, its gone up a…
  • If it is taking over your life, then you need to address it. Consider speaking to your GP if you are in recovery from an ED. However, counting calories is not for life, for me at least. I only weigh new stuff, as by now I know what 100g of my usual foods look like without weighing them. I think its good practice in the…
  • Diet is for weight loss, exercise is for health. As long as you are eating at a deficit, the fat will disappear. However, exercise is always good, it makes you feel better, helps your heart & lungs & joints etc, and usually means you can eat more food to compensate for the burned calories. So 4 sessions of aqua aerobics a…
  • Agree with boiled eggs, also Graze boxes, mini packets of sliced sandwich ham or chicken, nuts. Basically, protein to keep you feeling full
