I have struggled with sugar in the past. I have had to have zero tolerance periods so I could remember how to exercise self control. Now, I'm just very discriminating about my sweets. If I'm going to do it, I make sure it's GOOD, and its sensibly portioned. I also try not to go more than once a day with dessert.

Popcorn! There are a lot of microwave varieties that aren't terrible/single serve. I make mine on the stove. I make sure to measure the oil/kernels so I don't go too crazy with the oil. Some people prefer air pop but I don't mind just the oil popped in plus salt. That and a tall glass of water.

This is frustrating to hear, imo. I'm also 5' 8" and 154. I'd like to see that change to 145. It's still considered healthy to weigh in that range, so if you want it, I think you should get it.

Oatmeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal! Cooked till almost dry in the pan, with some brown sugar, cinnamon, a splash of each: vanilla and nf milk. Luna bar plus sugar free rockstar (not my best choice... I know...) OR two eggs. Scrambled or poached.

when I started losing weight I was a definite apple. Now I'm a 36-29-39 pear :) The difference 50 lbs can make.
