You can transition slowly. That's what I did. I started with vegetarian and kept some meat products. Then went vegan. Then plant-based vegan so I eliminated the processed foods. And then I went high raw. I say high raw because I still occasionally eat rice and nuts are a bit difficult to find that are raw.

I'm in my phone and can't figure out how to add anyone =(. Can you add me? I would love some more support, motivation, and inspiration.

Great job, Kyli! I loved reading your success and can't wait to see what your next venture is!

I agree with C25K. It really starts you out slowly and I think it is great that you can focus on time as opposed to distance to start out.
-
You can add me. I won't start trying to lose until July (I'm pregnant) but I'm still logging in.

Congratulations! Love, love, love your story. I also loved that you talked about being vain with how you now feel with the weight loss...I know those are the reasons I think about.

What!?! What a difference! Now I'm excited to have a goal of seeing change in a month.

I totally need this post. I don't have anything to contribute, unfortunately, but am embarking on the low carb lifestyle. Thus far I have only used zucchini for "spaghetti."

I'm going to have to try these!

Everyone on MFP needs to see this, including me. I'm so happy someone linked this tread into another post. I originally wasn't going to take more pictures until I had lost 10 pounds. What a mistake! I'm taking measurements and pictures tomorrow to compare! Thank you so much!!

Congratulations!! You look amazing and I love your story. Thank you for sharing!

Great job! You look amazing!! Liked what you said about the package of powdered donuts  :drinker: I've had those days and it's the bouncing back that will help change your life.

I take: -- Lychee-Mango Super Fruit Chew (helps support weight loss and metabolism) --be-balanced bone strengthening calcium (provides e with 600mg of calcium that truly helps because as evidenced in my food diary I don't get nearly enough) --ActiVit (multi-vitamin) I'm currently on the lookout for a vitamin that has more…

Yay! I love running!!! And I am by no means fast =)

Nice link! Looks like everyone has said what I intended to after reading the OP. However, I also believe that 1000 cals burned on C25K is a bit on the high side. It takes me at least 8-9 miles in a run to get that high. Yes, I know everyone's body is different but I don't see anyone burning 1000 calories in 3.1 miles.…

So need to follow this thread. I'm a true pear. Never really knew that until I saw some pictures of me running. I know my husband likes curves, and now I have to be comfortable with them as well as become a "smaller toned" pear

I do that too! It's more of a "beat the clock" for me. 15 minutes to vacuum, 15 minutes to do the dishes, etc. I'm always pleased with myself when I beat the clock

Add me! Add me! Completed one half and my first marathon on 31 March! i LOVE it...want to become a marathon maniac!

I always carry an ID in case I get hit by a car or have another unpredicted ailment happen while I'm out. i also carry my insurance card (just in case). I have a water belt that I take on 8+ miles. Sometimes I don't need it but it is heaven on those runs when I feel like I can drink the river  I usually have some…

I've had a couple of half-a$$ed attempts but have learned that the more I get involved with MFP, the better I do. Feel free to add me!

I started crying at the start! Knowi g that slow going is still moving in the right direction is a tough lesson for me. Thank you so much for sharing.
