The idea is to "be healthy" by eating healthy. Skipping meals only means that she is probably intaking most of the calories at that one meal at McD's. The scale you most use - and that probably would be your home scale! Weight at least once as week, the same day of the week and the same time. Even if your weight is different on each scale, you will get a good idea of how much you are actually loosing or gaining!

Try to keep breakfast under 350 - salads for lunch with maybe 1/2 a sandwich or soup - and watch those "snacks" it's amazing how those 100cal snacks can add up! Of course, exercise does help to get those extra cals. If you keep dinner to mostly vegetables, with some protein you should do OK and be satisfied. It isn't easy…

Stay as close as you can to the 1200lbs (a few cals lowere her and there should not make a big difference). Drink plenty of water too. Sodium could be the culprit here - otherwise your doing great!

Doesn't matter how much you need to loose (10 or 100 lbs) it's what you will feel best at! I've lost 29 lbs since January (but am new to MFP). Keeping track on MFP of calories and exercise is really helping me with the few additional pounds I need to get rid of. Good luck on your journey.

First, thank you for your service. Yes, weight loss is not an easy thing to do but with determination and a good support group such as is on this web site, you CAN DO IT! Keeping a daily diary of food intake really helps and keeps you focused on what you are eating and/or drinking. DO NOT SKIP meals thinking less calories…

YUP, I'm with the others that say you are NOT eating enough - your body goes into "starvation mode" and lives off the fat already stored. Also 4 1/2 lbs in 2 weeks is great!
