  • bump so I can read these later... I like the smell of skunks too!
  • I have ended up letting fresh fruit go to waste a lot in the past as well. I learned something that has reduced the amount of waste. This usually takes a little time but it is COMPLETELY WORTH IT!! As soon as you get home from the store, put all the groceries away except your fresh fruit. Now, you take your fruit and begin…
  • Doing pretty good here. Been eating better with an ocassional treat just to stave off going bonkers and binging on goodies  Been working out regularly with only 2 rest days this week. In Week 5 of C25K, with the looming Day 3 coming up. But I know this time around it wont be a problem at all. I'm trying to find a…
  • He looks likea Herman to me!
  • 1st time I did the Couch to 5K (C25K) program I was about 250lbs (at 5'5") and got all the way through week 9. I was running 30 min straight. So it is conceiveable that you CAN run that 5k in 9 weeks! I highly recommend C25K, or a similar trainer like Runkeeper which is what my husband uses. Both of these and others like…
  • Everything. I just learned proper portions and eat those things that are high in calories, fat, and sodium less often.
  • Thank you all for your input! I wasn't sure about posting this but now I'm very glad that I did! Your comments are invaluable! Savlyon, I appreciate your post coming from the other side of the event to explain cost. I guess I had not thought about the differences between road 5ks and mud runs either. The mud runs were many…
  • ^^THIS as well as "clean your plate" which carried into my adult life as I never made my children clean their plate but would often eat anything that was left on theirs after finishing my own.
  • ^^This Another thing is you might want to keep in the back of your mind.... some of them might be jealous of your strength and would rather see you fail just so they can feel better about their own pitiful failed attempts at something that would change their lives. Don't fault them for their weaknesses, rise above!
  • Great Job RED!!! WTG on your loss!! Keep it up!
  • Try Peanut Butter Co.'s White Chocolate Wonderful. Less calories than regular peanut butter, that yummy chocolate flavor and it isnt full of all those additives crap that you dont need. Around 180 calories per serving as opposed to 220 with peanut butter and 200 for nutella. Or just get some PB2!
  • My husband and I met online even though we only lived about 15 min away from each other. We may never have met if it weren't for the online aspect. We met face to face July 5th of 2005, married in April 2006 and I have NEVER been happier in my life! I don't mind people knowing, lots of people think it is neat. This person…
  • .. but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. I dont know if I can give you the best advice, but I'll be as helpful as I can. Please take a moment to read my profile before friending me.

  • BRILLIANT!!! I've been combing Craigslist and local Freecycle for a squat rack and never would have given any thought to my husband building me one! This is AWESOME!!!!! Thank you for sharing and the build of materials. Schematics would be fantastic. Hubby is quite the handyman and he can get most of the lumber from work…
  • Please include me!!
  • This sounds sooooooo good. Definitely deserves a bump!!
  • ^^^ LOVE that shirt!! Where can I get one!?!?!?!
  • You look amazing! What a transformation! Great job!
  • My husband and I have restarted C25K (Couch to 5k) and I'm really excited. We started at Week 2 Day 2 because we knew that Week 1 day 1 would be too easy. Even though I've been battling first a chest cold and now bronchitis, I've still been able to do the runs, just slowed it down to a more manageable pace so I dont…
  • Had a really hard workout yesterday and I'm seeing a slight gain on the scale today. With sore muscles I know my muscles are retaining some fluids. Knowing this, I'm looking for a 4lb loss this week Height: 5'5" Starting weigh-in: 230.0 Week 1 goal: 226
  • Well, you met one. I am lactose intolerant and I enjoy cheese pretty much daily. I do beleive a couple other people on this thread have stated the same for themselves. If you read the articles I posted from the Mayo Clinic, they state most adults that are diagnosed as lactose intolerant can manage up to 250ml of milk…
  • Well first off, these two articles give two different numbers as far as the percentage of people that are supposed to be lactose intolerant, and both differ with your 70% as stated above. But I do appreciate you posting these and I read these articles and several more on the subject. Secondly, we are discussing cheese, not…
  • And where did you derive this baseless percentage from?? No.. just like I dont think it is odd that a large number of the general population is allergic to penicillin, or peanuts, or cats. It happens.
  • I'm sorry but this really makes me chuckle. "The Examiner" is another tabloid, right up there with the National Enquirer. They also post stories about alien abductions and new "spottings" of Elvis and Bigfoot!.
  • I'm in! I, too, have trouble being consistent for long periods of time and I'm always looking for a new challenge to help keep me motivated! I'm looking to lose 2lbs this week. It would be best to do the "winner" by weight loss percentage To calculate Weight loss percentage: 1. Original Weight minus Current Weight 2. Now…
  • I havent done the Polar Plunge, but my husband and I have ridden our motorcycles about 30 miles down to the lakefront in Kenosha (with the local HOG Chapter) on New Years Day to watch those crazy people jump in the freezing cold water! LOL  Then head for a hot breakfast and a cold ride back home!!
  • I started with an 82 Honda CB 450T, my learning bike, which I rode for 2 years. Upgraded to an 84 Honda Hawk which wasnt too bad (650cc). I now ride an 03 Dyna Wide Glide. This is the most comfortable of the 3 bikes for sure. Doesn't feel like a gust of wind is going to push me off the road either. My husband loves his 02…
  • That statement is completely idiotic. Does this mean that only 2% of people actually eat???? Everyone is on some kind of diet, because your diet is what you eat.
