It'll be a lot easier than you think. You just have to fuel properly and at minimum make sure you run 10 miles straight one week before the race. My first half marathon I barely trained, but at least ran 1 10 mile run 1 week before the half. I finished the half but died at mile 9 and had to walk the rest. That was because…

You have to get busy. Start cleaning out your closet, dresser drawers, ironing all of your clothes. Something that will keep you busy. Go on the internet, facebook, MFP, something. Oh yeah and drink water. You could easily mistaken hunger for dehydration.

Minimum 1 hour 5-6 times a week. On Saturdays and Sundays I do 2 hours each. I love my gym, running, strength training with my trainer and the classes are fun too.

Need to read the label for sure. The one I suggested has Milk Protein as the second ingredient. It's the good stuff. Water is the first ingredient.

Actually, you don't even need to buy a whey protein. Use Greek Yogurt and pasteurized egg white with fruits and you can get a good protein shake with 30g per serving! The pasteurized egg white is tasteless. The greek yogurt will sweeten with the right fruit.

EAS Myoplex Original, pre made Chocolate fudge is SOOOOO good. I actually crave it. They recently changed the recipe because it is better than ever. I buy the 18 pack 17oz bottles from Sam's Club. It's about $28. Now, I only drink a 3rd a day. It lasts a loooooooooooooong time that way and is affordable.

I vote try not eating them back, and see what happens. Then try eating 1/2 and see what happens. Then try eating them all and see what happens. I think eating 1/2 back is the best, because so many people probably overestimate their calories anyway. I'm on the losing pounds train at the moment. If I stall, then I will…

You look awesome! Maybe gain 5-10 pounds of muscle. :) Eat a lot and lift :) That would be a fun goal! I enjoy working out very much.

It is VERY similiar to sour cream tasting, but you have to add the right ingredients to make it tasty :)
-
You should be able to figure the calories as long as you have the fat, protein and carbs. <---that's the 3 ingredients that make up calories. Gooogle it for the equation.

I'm proud of my husband for passing up the donut shop just because we had to go over to our renter's house to do repairs. We were exhausted from the day and he thought he earned it. But he made me proud by passing it up and coming home to eat Skinny Cow ice cream :) Plus he read the directions and completely replaced the…

Oh yeah, another thing you can do is try to make things on your own instead of buying them premixed. For example, your yogurt. Buy plain yogurt and add your own fruit. That way you can control the sugar.

I wouldn't advise trying to use a sugar substitute. I had a horrible crutch for Sweet N Low for YEARS! I loved it in my sweet coffee every morning. I gave it up at the beginning of this year. I wanted to see if my cravings for chocolate and sweet foods would go away. But I was still craving the sweetness. My coffee became…

yes, log what you use. Where else do you think it's going to go? I'm not a fan of Olive Oil. I'd rather spend the calories on something else.

I loved it. I had it 3 times last week. Not because I need low carbs, just because I love eating more veggies. I loved it!! I put sausage, cheese, green pepper, mushrooms and onion on my veggie cauliflower pizza. I still like the real pizza, but this was good too.

Hungry girl is an idiot. I got her bar drink book one time. It was so horrible! She is a horrible chef!

Tempeh! I love the Flexitarian book. It's got great information. One of the ideas was to toast Tempeh and use it as a crouton rather than regular croutons. I'm always looking to improve my food with more veggies. So I JUST toaste Tempeh.. it's HORRIBLE!! It's like soft pork but tasteless. It was not crunchy and it wasn't…

Did he just say "dumb it down"? I've never heard that. LOL. I wonder if I can use that in work email...Have fun arguing.

Protein is GREAT! Definitely get more of it as long as you stay within your calorie goal!!! Your body has to work harder to break down protein. This is excellent!! Keep it up! "within your calorie goals" <-- is the key here. You shouldn't eat 300 grams of protein or anything.

Very cool! Thanks for sharing what you have learned! Great quotes!

I'm always the one who says "Try eating only half of your exercise calories back". Just see what happens. Maybe you are eating a little too much since you lost the weight. If you lost 10 pounds, then you would need less calories per day. But I see a lot of other people saying you are eating too little. That never works for…

Try a different birth control pill. There is no reason to have to gain.

unhealthy because it's slightly untrue.

If I was new to cooking, I'd need to know how to measure and follow directions exactly. Mac&Cheese are good for beginners, because you could add canned tomato. Making it look like you really made something unique and tasty. Hot dogs?

Me! I'm at 155 right now, and my first goal is to make it to 145, but if I could lose more than that, then I'd be even happier! I'm 32, 5'1.5".

Sounds like you added too many strawberries. Banana's usually make a smoothie pretty sweet. Maybe add another banana? But no more orange juice.
-
I'd vote yes! I wish I was there! I don't believe in eating them while I'm losing, but I do while I'm in maintenance!! Soon, soon! I guess this depends on if you increase your calories to the "normal" amount. I would keep mine at 1400-1500and then eat back my exercise calories while in maintenance. I wouldn't change my…

wow! I had an amazing big chocolate chip cookie from Whole Foods (near the check out). Those things are crazy good. I think it's like 1000 calories.. but really tasty!

I don't put them in at all. I just don't trust it. I burned 650 calories today doing 50 minutes of spinning and 20 mins of running according to my Polar watch. I just don't believe in eating those back. Who knows how accurate that can be? See if it works for you and more importantly how you feel, if the result isn't good…
