You can exercise moderately while pregnant. Ask your doctor for suggestions if you are concerned that something you are planning to do might harm the baby. You're weight gain is right about on par with normal. The average woman gains 25-35 pounds while being pregnant. Remember that most of that is the baby itself, extra…

I carry around a bottle of water that holds 1.5 liters of water (no kidding). Why? Because one of those bottles equals over 6 cups of water. If I drink that, I'm close to my 8 cups for the day.

I think that is such a reasonable way to do dessert. Hot fudge over fruit sounds wonderful. I am going to the store this evening and may just have to buy some of that to have when the sugar cravings get the best of me.

I am a vegetarian, and I too don't have a problem hitting any of the goals set out on this site. My recommendation if you are going to take out the meat is to make sure you consume some sort of protein at every meal/snack.

I'm on week 2 so I'll get back to you about long term success, but already I have noticed changes. My pants fit better. I have better endurance. I'm not as sore as week 1. I recommend it. I'm also not following the recommended diet they have because I am a vegetarian, but I feel great anyway.

There is nothing wrong with having a little taste of something like Doritos or ice cream. It sounds like you are doing great, and he is trying to be supprotive, but is also trying to make sure you're not totally depriving yourself. He may not be ready to make the change yet, but you are and that's all that matters. :)

That sounds appropriate to me. From the DVDs I have done so far, I have not seen anyone really go over 20-25 pounds. However, I say that with a grain of salt, because I am doing the lean program. I don't know which one you are embarking upon.

Your body doesn't hate you. In fact, you're doing the right thing for it. You probably were just getting into it, and your knee was having some trouble. A time of not exercising and then hitting it full force is a shock to the body. I wanted to run a marathon, and I went out everyday for days in a row to run. After two…

I agree to this. It sounds to me like he's nervous that you're going to be so hot, other men are going to be all over you and you might consider leaving him for them.

I would lose it in that environment. Peanut butter is my favorite! Thankfully, at work we make very few peanut butter flavored items.

I always kind of max out on the fiber "allowance" given to me by MFP. I'm a vegetarian though so it's fairly easy to do. I just eat a ton of fruits, veggies, whole grains and beans. Here is one of my favorite recipes to pack in some fiber (and lean protein). I usually leave out the green onions because I'm not a huge fan,…

This may sound silly, but... buy a scale! I don't have one. I usually use the one at my doctor's office or something along those lines when I want to weight myself. I know a good bathroom scale is cheap so I'm just going to do it. :)

Welcome to MyFitnessPal! You have some awesome goals, and I have a feeling you will do just fine reaching them!

Chocolate breakfast shake with whey protein and a banana mixed in and/or peanut butter. And... the banana-flax muffins I made over the weekend. And greek yogurt. I need yogurt at least once a day.

Because, like other people, vegans would like the same experiences as everyone else. Not everyone who is vegan was raised that way, and there are certain things that they remember like burgers and hotdogs that, though they do not eat meat, they would like to recreate. Could you imagine just one day turning your back on…

That's my experience too!

Wow, you consider green beans to be mild tasting? I think they're very strong and rather terrible. :-) But that's a matter of preference, I suppose. Some veggies to try: spinach and cucumbers. Cucumbers literally taste like crunchy water to me, but I find them refreshing so I love to eat them. P.S. Corn is a grain so I…

I personally don't pay any attention to the sugar on MFP because I think it's ridiculous that if I have an orange, I've busted my sugar "allowance" for the day. I just took it off of there and replaced it with sodium (something I truly need to watch) and fiber.

There are men and women who begin P90X and can't complete the reps. It's an intense workout, and you're not as strong in the beginning as you will be in the end. I am doing it right now, and I can't complete all the reps the way that the people in the video do, but I am only just getting started. I can do all of the…

My lunch today is crackers, mini Babybel light cheese (2 pieces), mini sweet peppers, cherries and carrots. My snack today is just a protein bar (not very creative) - a brand called Think Thin. Other lunch ideas: - Med. plate - hummus, tabbouleh and fresh veggies (and olives, if you like that kind of thing...I don't) -…

Welcome to MFP! :)

I just made some banana-flax muffins that have a fair amount of fiber in them. http://www.vegetariantimes.com/recipes/10869?section=. They have about 5 grams of fiber per muffin.

P90X is a fitness program, as other's have mentioned, that lasts for 90 days (and beyond). It takes a large amount of discipline, because it requires you to work out 6 days a week during those 90 days. However, it also delivers a large calorie burn with every workout. I am currently about to start week 2 of the program,…
