Absolutely! I agree. Everything in moderation. Carbs should make up about 50-65% of the average person's diet because they are used for energy!

Mmmm, these sounds great!

Apples make good a good stuffing ingredient!

These are all great suggestions. What I like to do is get my fruits and veggies in a no so "overt" fashion at times. I love to throw some dried currants or dried blueberries in my oatmeal. I also make a stir fry with lots of veggies and top it off with oranges or grapefruit segments. I "hide" the veggies and fruits in…

Thanks for the suggestions! Those sound awesome!

1. Eat before you go. 2. Take something healthy to share. I love hummus, veggies and whole grain crackers or pita bread for those kinds of events. 3. Don't feel bad if you have a little junk food. It's a special occasion. All those junk foods exist, and you're going to be exposed to them for your whole life. If you feel…

Confession: I have been eating nothing but whole grains for awhile, and today, I had Domino's pizza at lunch (it's customary on inventory day at work) with a regular Pepsi. My blood sugar crashed like a doomed plane about 45 minutes to an hour later, and I was yawning and hoping for a spot to take a nap. But man, was it…

Mine's me! I did choose that photo specifically though because it's motivation for me to keep being active...even though you really can't see my face...

Do you have a fairly busy lifestyle? I found myself relying on a lot of foods that were quick and easy because I didn't feel like I had the time to cook. Here's what I did last Sunday. I went grocery shopping and loaded up my cart with the fruits, veggies, grains and so on that I needed. I looked at a couple of recipes…

Let's see...last night I had some lentil chili and brown rice. (Oooooh, so good!) Tonight, I did the breakfast for dinner kind of thing and had steel cut oatmeal and poached eggs.

lol, I'm laughing so hard right now! Thanks for that!

It sounds like this woman is expecting payment, and you're not paying her. She's frustrated too. Most people will not wait until you get the money to try to collect their payment. In the world of business, the person providing the services expect the person who is accepting the services to be able to pay. No one likes not…

I dig the almond milk also. I prefer the chocolate variety though.

Some sugar in the form of juice usually works. I used to do it all the time for kids at a preschool when they were having that problem.

Try oven fried chicken tenders and light ranch dipping sauce. Use cornflakes in the crust to make it extra crunchy!

I'm not trying to be funny at all... Rice Krispy treats are one of the best energy bars out there...and who doesn't like them?
-
Just try it out! Half of the fun is trying to make something you have never made before! I would just make sure to add a bit more moisture to your pancake mix.

I am in no way tempted to throw out my sugar. Many people just don't know how their food is made. Have you ever watched a slaughterhouse video of how they kill and process your meat and poultry?
-
Sometimes I do, if I'm not hungry. There is no point in force feeding yourself.

Mine wouldn't the first day I tried it. Now, it let me save. Which doesn't help me very much since I lost the paper with all of the info on it. Oh well. I only remember the waist and hip measurements off the top of my head, so I'll just do the rest again today and use that as my guideline for the rest of the…

I am doing the P90X nutrition guidelines in addition to the workouts. However, like today when I snuck off to Arby's for lunch, I have been known to do something that isn't within the diet plan. I don't know how it would go if I wasn't doing that and just generally watching what I eat, but it seems to be working pretty…

Good for you! Great photos! I love to see your progress because it makes me want to see the difference in my own body on Day 30, even though I see some of it now.

The only thing that I don't like about this article is that they suggest things like "lite whipped topping" and "lite beer." But, do they remember that these things don't taste the same as the real stuff? I think this article would make a little more sense if they posted more of an "eat this, not that" kind of attitude.…

Once a month. I might measure a certain area more often if I notice a change in myself that I didn't see before.

Yesterday, I was sweating like hell doing Core Synergistics, and today I am a little sore, but nothing like week #1. I kept up with the people in the video, and I think I finally figured out a couple of minor things I was doing wrong. Is that a little hint of muscle defintion I am seeing in my tummy....?

First of all, I think you need to take the day to rest. Are you sleeping at least 8 hours a day? It sounds like you are working out so hard, that you're not allowing yourself enough time to relax. Your body only builds muscle when you're sleeping so if you're not sleeping enough, guess what isn't happening? :-) Second, do…

I added a little work on the elliptical. Nothing extreme. Just a mile or so.

I agree with missmaya! Come join us on the P90X thread. It's an awesome workout. You are going to love it. :-)

Ooooh, I love peanut butter fudge!
