Ain't it grand? The payoff for the effort we put into fitness makes it very worthwhile. You look wonderful!
-
Absolutely! We probably need to see more of that.

Go for it! I started C25K last January and did a 5K the 8th week of my C25K program. I walked the first 5 minutes, to warm up, and ran the rest of it. The next week, I did another 5K race, warmed up a little before the race, walked the first 3 minutes, then improved my overall time running the remainder. Since then, I've…

I was always taught that "two wrongs don't make a right." What were you thinking????? This new year can be a great one for you if you can get your mouth under control. Good luck and God bless you! Did I just join the list of "mean posters?" Maybe I should rephrase my reply. I just can't imagine that using profane language…

May 2013 be a great year for you!
-
Please add me for 90 miles for January. I thought I'd make my December goal, but the weather and holiday events didn't cooperate. I still think I can do it! Please give me another chance.

It was taken Dec. 15, 2012.

I'm unique, like everyone else. I cringe when I hear improper word usage. My mother and paternal grandmother insisted I use proper English. I corrected my children while they were young. Somewhere, there's been a breakdown in communication. My mother grew up, very poor, in a remote area. She walked 6 miles to reach her…

You're taking up considerably less space these days. I wish you continued success in 2013!
-
Add me to the list! I maintained from March until Thanksgiving. Since then, I've probably added 4-5 lbs. First of the year, it's coming off!

Although I didn't question my husband regarding my weight, and he never said anything, I knew that, although he loved me, he no longer found me attractive. From little comments he made about other women before we were married, I knew heavy women were a turn-off for him. In our case, I agreed with him about my need to get…

Great progress! You can make it all the way!

It took me 7 months, and it seemed reasonable. Good luck!

Sounds like you're doing the right things, and you're less likely to pick up nasty viruses by staying out of the gym. I, too, like running and biking on my own, or exercising with DVDs in the comfort and privacy of my living room. There are plenty of ways to get a good workout!

Do you have asthma? Is so that's a good possibility. If not, slow down and take deep breaths, expanding your chest AND stomach, then make sure you exhale completely. You can increase your endurance by continuing with fast walking when you have to stop running. Don't give up!

You make us proud!!!! You look great!
-
That's what I see, too. What's the problem?
-
Gorgeous! Have a wonderful 2013! Have to edit, 'cause I just checked your profile. I'm saying a prayer for your daughter, too. I hope it will be a great year for both of you!

That's a strange family tradition, but you can't pick your relatives. I guess you'll never convince them that eating small meals throughout the day will help prevent overindulging at the main meal. Hopefully, you'll have your own family before too long and make new traditions. I hope you made it without getting too out of…

In the past, I've noticed it's more my mind than my body telling me I'm hungry. If you're weak and shaky, then you may be hungry. Otherwise, it could just be your mind, lying to you! I hate it when that happens. ;(

Hoping to get in a short run after everyone leaves.

I had eggs scrambled with leftover pork for breakfast, and we're having deli cold cuts and Southern Pecan Praline Cake for lunch. I'll have a couple of pounds to lose after the holidays. :drinker:
-
Thirty pounds made a big difference! That's wonderful! Have a great 2013, and keep knocking 'em out! Merry Christmas!
-
Late again, and I didn't get in one of my runs. Such a busy season! Anyway, I still have time to make my goal. Week ending Dec 23. - 16.5 miles Total miles MTD - 65.7 miles MERRY CHRISTMAS, RUNNERS!
-
You look great, and I bet you're having more fun. :drinker:

Waist.

A lot of men and women have a problem with jealousy/insecurity--sometimes even those of us who aren't generally prone to those problems. The "appearance of impropriety" is to be avoided. Your running dude probably didn't tell his girlfriend because he knew she wouldn't handle it well. My husband committed a "sin of…

I keep a few chickens in my backyard and don't worry about the calories in their eggs. Dr. Oz says an egg a day (not an apple) keeps the doctor away.

Chili should not contain beans--that would be a different dish, "chili beans."

Sounds like the boss is worried about you with good cause. Your weight loss has been drastic, and would signal to anyone that something is wrong. I can tell you want this badly, but try not to be impatient. Try following the MFP guidelines to lose your weight safely. You'll get there!
