Excellent! Great work! I'll bet you're feeling better and lighter on your feet! It's a good feeling.

Much improved!! I envy your height. I wanted to be tall, but never made it. At 5'11", you definitely don't want to be a size 0. You look great!

I sleep fine, but my husband tried melatonin and it didn't help him. Pain keeps him awake. My mother used melatonin, but it's a hormone and caused breast tenderness for her. It probably wouldn't hurt to give it a try, but be aware that you may have side effects.

I had a full hysterectomy 5 years ago, and weighed 10 lbs. less after the surgery. That was a start, and I kept it off! A couple of years ago, I joined MFP and lost another 30 lbs. in 7 months. I followed the 1200 net calorie plan and did a lot of cardio, but I think lifting weights is what really helped my metabolism.…

I'm a flawed human, but I have an awsome savior called Jesus the Christ, and, someday, he says I'll be like him! That's something I look forward to with great anticipation.

I took up gardening and backyard chickens when I got out of service. Next on my list is raising goats. You're strong enough to carry several 50-lb. bags of feed at once. I can only carry one at a time. :ohwell:

My eggs always turn out just right. I start with cool tap water so the shells don't crack. I bring the eggs to a low boil, then let them simmer for 6 minutes. I immediately rinse them in cold water. I crack the eggs I'm going to use by tapping all sides on the counter, then use a teaspoon to slide under the membrane and…

I'll post pics when I get home.

That's a lot of potatoes! I see the difference. :flowerforyou: I did several months of walking and strength training before I started running. Good luck!

I've always had large calves. As I lost weight, even my calves didn't look as big. I did weight lifting (Chalene Extreme) and lots of cardio. Good luck--I'm sure you'll look great by the time you reach your goal. :flowerforyou:

I'm also 61, and 1200 net calories worked great to get my excess weight off. I reached my goal a year ago and started maintenance, but I hopped off the wagon during the holidays and need to get back on before I grow out of my new clothes. I didn't keep my large clothing. Maybe older women don't need as many calories?…

At my husband's insistence, I've switched to stevia and the Zevia drinks that are sweetened with stevia. Some people say they don't like stevia, but it tastes fine to me.

I'm blessed to be a Texan! I'm about 50 miles south of Austin, and I spent 5 years in Houston and 7 years in San Antonio. I spent 17 years in other states and countries, but nowhere else measured up to Texas. My Yankee husband claims he got here as soon as he could. :drinker: BTW, I'm reading a good book called TEXAS GOT…

Lift heavy, and you won't have to do as many reps. Muscle burns more fat. I'd go for it!

I love your spirit and your new look. May God bless you and your boy.

That much vodka is dangerous and seriously unhealthy. I suggest you take up a new hobby and meet new friends. Try to replace the heavy drinking time with something more productive. Good luck and God bless you.

Sounds about right. Cut it in thirds, and you can have it for all three meals for the day. It's definitely too much for one meal. My husband and I always share a footlong from Subway. You can also have any sub made into a salad and skip the bread.

Coffee or tea should be okay, if it doesn't keep you from sleeping. How about eating a raw carrot, celery or an apple? You won't have to save many calories to accommodate any of those.

I wish you and your husband well. It sounds like you have a lot of responsibility. If you can find the time to work out, it will help your stress levels and weight loss. Sorry about your husband's long wait for the knee replacements. My Canadian (winter) neighbors mentioned there's a 6-month waiting list just to get a…

The worst triggers for me are greasy foods and hamburger meat. Hamburgers and tacos almost guarantee some heartburn. When I was heavier, I had horrible acid reflux. Nexium worked for me, but I didn't like what I read about Nexium causing bone loss. I took Nexium daily for several years. After I lost weight, I discovered I…

Much better! You look great!

LOL My sister confessed today that she hasn't taken her tree down yet. I have a cousin who left her tree up all year! You're not the last to take down the tree. :drinker:

How many new babies? I can attest that twins are a lot of work, but they're lots of fun. The thought of more than two babies at a time would scare me. God bless your growing family!

I'm hanging out on MFP. I don't have a team in the game this year.

Your presentation will be great! Go with what you shared with us. :flowerforyou: This is what people who sincerely want to lose weight need to hear.
-
Great work! I'm proud of you, too. I know it took a lot of will power and a lot of effort on your part. Enjoy your new physique!!!

I took flu shots for years, but I've sworn off the last couple of years.

You look great! I wish I could wear 165 that nicely. :flowerforyou:

bump Gotta try this.

I like your slimmed-down, sassy look! :drinker:
