I agree with everyone else--consult your doctor! Please don't risk making your health situation worse. God bless you.

I have a set of Bowflex SelectTech dumbbells to use with my Chalean Extreme DVDs, a mat to use on the floor, Tae Bo DVDs, a bike and a bike trainer I can set my bike on when it's too nasty to ride outside, a homemade hula hoop, and several pairs of running shoes. I live in the country, and it's a lot easier to work out at…

Thanks for checking in, ladies!!! I loved reading your responses! May you all accomplish your fitness missions!

Good post. I pray it gets a lot of reads from those who need to see it.

Week 3 - 20.3 miles MTD - 36.3 miles I'm doing a little better each week. The Christmas holidays proved to be a setback, but I'm working my way back up. I wanted to get in a run today, but had to go looking for a bull who strayed off. I got in a good walk looking for the bull. We found him, but he refused to follow me…

You've come a long way, and it definitely shows! Looking great!

Beautiful! You look like you lost more than 58 lbs.!

Why don't you just stick to your home page? Message boards aren't for everyone. I see very few "mean" comments. I don't think I'm a mean poster. I realize some people, including my ex-husband, could take offense at any comment. Now I'm feeling insecure..., but I refuse to blame you for making me feel that way. Stay where…

I was disappointed, but not surprised. It's a good thing he's finally owned up to his wrongs. I'd be surprised if there are any big-name cyclists who haven't doped. I'll give him respect for coming clean. He could have lied forever. I've never heard him claim to be a strong Christian, and without the support of a higher…

My tummy was never smooth after my second child, and I never wore a bikini again. If you don't care what people think, wear a bikini. If you care what people think, there are going to be people out there (and I'm guilty) who are going to think, "Gross." I can't help it! I'm old, and my mother taught me to take pride in my…

Week 2 - 11.3 miles MTD - 16 miles Still way behind where I wanted to be, but I'm not giving up.

I love cookies, so I tend to grab a graham cracker or one of my mother's oatmeal cookies that substitutes applesauce for some of the butter and sugar. I like to substitute chopped/crushed figs for the applesauce, when I have them, and that makes them really good. I keep bags of chopped figs in my freezer for that purpose.

It doesn't make him a bad guy, but he may not be the right guy for you. My tall husband wasn't as blunt as your guy, he only gave subtle hints of his displeasure, but he isn't attracted to curvy women, either. While I was heavy, he still loved me, and I don't think he considered leaving me, but his passion left. In our…

Doesn't it feel good???!!! Enjoy your success and refuse to go back!

I read they've been out for 10 years. I wish I'd known about them then. Now, it's too late, but I survived. :ohwell:

Sure, it's open to you! You're one of us! :) I hope you're soon feeling better than ever.

I hope everyone's year is off to a good start. I have to lose a few pounds picked up between Thanksgiving and the end of the year. I was supposed to be maintaining, but didn't. :embarassed: Between busy schedules, cold weather, and rain, I haven't kept up with my running, either. But, I ran Sunday and again today. The sun…

Try the Neutrogene makeup remover cleansing towelettes to remove waterproof mascara without leaving an oily film. They work. I used to use baby oil or, better yet, baby oil gel (which I can no longer find). After using the oils, I had to wash away the oily residue with soap.

Sounds good. I had to check and make sure it wasn't really a "killer." (That would be inappropriate.)

My mother told me coffee was for grownups. I guess I've never made that leap.

No chubby cheeks for your grandmother to pinch, but you look great, young man!

If you want to lift at home, I recommend the Chalean Extreme program and SelectTech dumbbells. I like the advice she gives for correct form and protecting my back and knees. However you go about it, make sure you do it safely.

Enjoyed your replies, ladies! Thanks for your service! I guess, since I get a retirement check, I can't really use the excuse that I stopped running because I stopped getting paid. I guess I had it made in the AF. I never had to iron my underwear. I never had to run in combat boots, either. I suspect you Army and Marine…

He needs to learn to control his tongue. Proverbs has a lot to say about the dangers of the tongue. In my case, my husband never called me fat, but I could see him "thinking" it. Of course, I was thinking it about myself, too. I lost the weight, and we're both happy. Marriage can be tough. I wish you well. If you're going…

I wish people were this mean everywhere! The world would be a better place.

Thanks for the reminder. I actually did strength training, cardio, and ate most of my assigned net calories. I was very pleased with the results. However, once I started maintenance, I dropped the strength training and just continued running. My upper body isn't as toned as it was a few months ago. Now, I'm losing my…

I wish I had looked that good at my starting weight. I probably would have stayed there! You look great, and I agree that MFP makes it easy. Congrats!

First week total as of 1/6/13 - 4.7 miles I'm really going to have to step it up!

You're definitely a winner! I suspect you'll soon be half the man you used to be, but only in size. I admire your tenacity. Congratulations!
