5'1" (just) and 1200 calories but i'll usually eat a bit more when I work out. I try to eat pretty low carb, under 90, as that seems to be the only way I can lose any weight other than eating less than 800 calories! (this time last year i was frequently eating under 500 and fasting, I lost weight but got ill and put it…

bump to read later - i think this really applies to me too!

Well done!! I'm a recovering sugar addict as well - it really is tough but so important to crack. I have found that increasing the good fats in my diet has really really helped reduce my cravings and appetite - in fact i've just finished eating a yummy protein pancake made from 1 egg, 1/2 scoop vanilla whey protein powder,…

I would also like the exact same advice! So bump bump bump for any answers please!!

Your mentioned "white carbs" and your food diary does seem to heavily revolve around white bread. You say it would be extremely hard to stop eating it and that immediately suggests you are very dependent on sugar (also suggested by the high sugar yorkie yoghurts etc). I also very prone to sugar addiction and would find it…

OP - I ALWAYS get this from my friends, especially my flat mate who just happens to be average height, skinny, big boobs and eats whatever she wants with no concern for health at all. It drives me absolutely insane. Just because i'm short doesn't mean i'm "little"... in fact she even told me that i wasn't skinny but if i…

It doesn't really work like that... as you lose weight you need to eat less to continue losing weight... so if you continued eating the same amount of calories you would just gradually maintain i reckon (this is excluding exercise factors).

i'm obsessed with frozen yoghurt but i find it really hard to get hold of, this recipe has made me sooo happy!!

Swapping the full on Sunday Roast (British meat, potato, pudding feast) for a more simple version of roast chicken with wholegrain rice, cauliflower, broccoli and peas. YUM.
-
Good luck! I'll interested to see how you progress and about the types of exercise you do!

I used to do this and truly believed in a seriously low carb diet and sugar-free diet, thinking I was getting enough carbs from vegetables. I stuck to it religiously for months and lost weight. Then one day I hosted a BBQ party at my house and decided to treat myself and ate some bread and sweet desert. My stomach swelled…

Yay England! From Oxfordshire and London. Feel free to add me as a friend and ask any questions:)
-
oh also to add maybe instead of just eating more food for more calories, try and eat more nutriant dense foods like nuts, avocados, salmon etc and then you'll be getting better quality nutrition.

I would suggest resume meals as normal - you really don't want to go down the line of restricting calories and then overeating/binging (even if it's unintentional). Just try and keep it balanced, no extremes!

this sounds like a great summer alternative to my porridge (20g whole rolled oats, 7g coconoil - microwave 2 mins - add 20g soya protein powder, 20g ground nut mix, cinanmon - stir!)

Try the plank - very simple holding position but very effective! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1120673/How-perfect-plank.html Also try leg raises - lying flat on you back raise your legs up and down, imagine that your core is a lever pumping the up and down. Hope that helps!

just finished off 200g of frozen strawberries, pretty chilly. (impending essay deadline calls for desperate measures with regard to healthy snacks...) damn just realised i'm writing this.. fail.

Looks good to me! I only thing I notice is that you eat seem to eat a lot of quinoa (which soo good) but as a result your carbohydrate intake is quite high, considering you are not doing much exercise - but that's only realy minor. Love how much protein you manage to eat!!

Yup, my thighs are definitely my "power house" grrr. This really interesting and has given me a bit more hope and inspiration! Thanks for the info:)

I love granola/muesli too - i found Atkins muesli which is really low in carbs and high in protein, crunchy, and perfect for breakfast! A bit expensive (like all diet foods) but i'd rather pay a few more pounds and get skinny! You can buy it on the internet (or large Boots stores if you live in the uk).

Hi! I'm pretty new on here too, in fact this is my first ever post! I'm 20, at university, 5 feet tall and 118lbs. I started losing weight in March though when i was 135lbs! So anyway, i'm here to chat about anything and for encouragement:) I know it's pretty tough trying to keep at it and you've done an amazing job losing…
