  • yes, I log it. Your body is always changing weight slightly. TOM is just another part of your bodies cycle... love it or hate it. Fortunately for me my weigh in is on Sunday, so my TOM is over by then. You could pick a weigh in day 1 or 2 days after your cycle is over if you have a predictable somewhat short cycle.
  • You are amazing!!! And you look amazing!!
  • If you like beer, you could try Bud Select 55 (only 55 calories a beer). It's pretty good.
  • I always drink more water when I have my snack. I like to have a Nature's Valley bar in the afternoon (just 1 of the 2 bars - I save the other one for the next day), it makes me thirsty, so then I make a goal to finish the whole glass of water. Helps me.
  • Size 12 to an 8 in 16 pounds. Really depends on how many inches you are losing on your waist/hips, not weight in pounds.
  • Exercise restraint.
  • You look amazing, and I love your explanation of a lifestyle change - that is how I live it too!! Keep up the dedication and hard work.
  • My elliptical broke in November, and I have been using the Wii to workout for up until the past few weeks (it is finally nice enough to get a workout in outside) Here are my thoughts: 1. Wii EA Active - You can chose your intensity, do a 30 day challenge, create your own workout (5 stars) 2. Wii EA Active More Workouts -…
  • Dirty disposable water bottles can supposedly cause a lot of different things. I have even heard that if you drink from a water bottle that you leave in your car regularly and the plastic gets warm/hot often it can cause cancer - but what doesn't? Water can create mold around the bottle where you place your lips to drink…
  • I would have the same exact reaction as you, and I think you are NOT being crazy/stupid in any way. Tell him exactly how you feel and confront him about the messages from the girl. It should never not be ok to go through your significant others phone/email or what ever, there should be nothing to hide from. He is putting a…
  • Wow, you are looking phenomenal!! Keep up the dedication.
  • I try to stick to my goal number of calories.
  • Not that salt is good for you, but a little salt and pepper. I like the 4% cottage cheese - obviously it has fat and more calories, but it isn't a very big trade-off for 2% cottage cheese to 4% - so on this one I go for taste.
  • Taken especially from yourself "Time to stop talking and to start doing something..." Just do it, you'll instantly feel better once you start visiting the gym or exercising outside (since it is starting to get nice) regularly.
  • Perfectly put whyflysouth, make a healthy conscience snack choice. A goal to keep in mind is we want out bodies to burn calories as we sleep.
  • I don't restrict myself, I eat anytime before bed as long as I have the calories left to do so. I eat many small meals and snacks throughout the day and the evening is no different. I know there are people who strongly believe in a cut off time for eating before bed, although I don't know that there is an scientific…
  • Village Hearth Italian, Wheat, and a few other kinds. 1 piece - 40 calories. They also sell awesome hamburger buns, 1 bun = 80 calories. D'Italiano Light Italian is also good, 40 calories per slice, put I prefer Village Hearth.
  • Add both your strength and non-strength exercises, and eat calories of both. I have never subtracted what I would have burned just sitting around. That is why you added your activity level when mfp configured your calories per day (which is already at a deficit - so you should lose weight without exercise, however,…
  • Agreed, used it and loved it, lost weight, toned a lot, built endurance to be able to workout longer. I now own EA Sports More Workouts - and love that as well.
  • I am your height, and started this process in the 150's, prior to that at 195 after having my daughter. I kept my calories at 1200 a day, ate back my exercise calories and had no problems losing until recently. I am now at 130 with a goal weight of 120 (never even thought I would ever see 130) I suggest putting your…
  • Also check that your goal is to lose instead of gain weight.
  • I would stick to Cottage Cheese, You could add spinach to the mix, that is always good. Low Fat cheese for the top, the fat free cheese melts hard on the top if you use that kind, it is perfect if you add cheese in between the layers, but is not as nice for the top. Try to find some wheat lasagna noodles if you can.
  • I am almost in the same spot as you, and recently changed my goal of 1 pounds a week to .5 pounds a week as well.
  • If there is water in it, it counts. However, be careful, foods and other beverages all have some water. You cannot count 8oz of tea as 8oz of water. Does that make sense? Since water is good for you in so many ways, I would only count pure water, to make life easier, any water you get from another source is a bonus.
  • Are you eating any carbs, I know they can be bad, but are good in small amounts as well. They provide our bodies with energy, so if you are eating 0 carbs, it could cause you to be tired.
  • I have noticed that a lot of the light yogurts have aspartame in it, I always go for the non-light versions.
  • A few weeks ago I got what is called a calf strain, it affects primarily the back inside portion of the calf, sounds like you may have this as well. There are 3 different degrees of a calf strain. I actually had to stop all exercising for 1 week and let it heal. I thought it was just a sore muscle, then I went down 2…
  • I actually have an easier time at work (Marketing Database Analyst - so I am at a desk all day), I keep a snack drawer full of healthy choices to snack on, plus gum. If I want to grab a sweet from my co-worker, I just pop in a piece of gum and work away.
  • Good for you, you should do this for YOU. Looks like you are a new mom too, so it is also important for you husband to understand that in completing this goal for yourself, you will be more healthy and a good role model for your daughter as well. He should at least understand that. While he may think you are fine the way…
  • Good questions/comments. I have been curious about this as well.
