  • It's a great program to start running, stick with it. You will see results and feel proud of yourself. It really does work. I did it last year and ran two 5k and one 2 mile race. I can't say I am a speedy running, but I can do it.

  • I have the wii Zumba game, I love it. But I haven't done the video or classes previously, so I really have nothing to compare it to.
  • I also prefer Saucony, currently I have a model of the Pro Grid. LOVE THEM! But I always keep an open mind and try on other brands. The past 3 years I have always picked the Saucony brand!
  • Western Wisconsiner... Willow River State Park has great hiking trails (Hudson, WI)... Also Glen Park (River Falls, WI)
  • If you type in Strawberries, then select Strawberries - Raw, use the drop down and select whole and whatever size you are eating. Does that help at all?
  • Agree with the low sodium, drink lots of water, low to no carbs and try not to eat too late (after 8 or 9pm), add in a last chance workout if you have the time.
  • Also your metabolism needs a little gas (food) to burn fat/calories more efficiently and effectively. So you could increase your daily calorie deficit by not eating your exercise calories, however, you could potentially be hurting your metabolism rate.
  • I have not used Your Shape, but loved EA Active. I have also used EA Active More Workouts and Gold's Gym Cardio Boxing, and love both of them also.
  • Check out #20.
  • Welcome. I also love bread... but you can do it. Show it who is boss. Mostly I just don't buy the really good stuff anymore, instead I will have a piece of Village Hearth for 40 calories a slice with some PB or garlic. If I want a special treat I will buy a foccacia bread or something.. making sure to have only small…
  • I LOVE survivor too. I haven't watched from the very first season, but I have seen most seasons. I am more of a Heros fan. This is the best season ever!!! Can you believe JT, Parvarti, and Russell. Well, bye, bye JT.. and that is for being ridiculous. Who gives their idol to the enemy and then believes them heart and soul.
  • Just looked through your food diary. Looks like most of your food choices are very healthy. Here are a couple of thoughts... looks like you aren't eating your exercise calories - you should try to eat them, mfp already sets you at a calories deficit before exercise. Your metabolism needs those extra calories to kick start…
  • Hey lady, chin up. Keep at this, it will work. Sounds like you are getting in exercise, despite all else. Give yourself a pat on your back for that... and you have lost all the pregnancy weight, that is good as well. Just stick with logging food and exercising as best as you can. It will work.
  • Why do you think you are having too many snacks? I have at least 3 snacks a day, plus 3 meals. I didn't go back very far in your diary, but it looks like you are eating very healthy. Just a thought.
  • Sodium... they are talking about taking control of how much sodium products can have in them.
  • Love the name Charlie Cheetah Buster Paco Turbo Renegade Jack
  • You have lost a lot in your face. You are looking wonderful!! Be proud of yourself
  • My personal experience is that diet is more important than exercising when it comes to weight loss. Although I highly recommend exercising as well - there are many, many positive aspects that exercising gives to your body.
  • The scale is only one number, although many of us deem it the most important number. Weight loss can be measured in many other ways... how clothes fit, how you look in the mirror, measuring waist, hips, neck.... , etc. You may lose inches one week and not weight, or vice versa. We have to remember to take into account…
  • I have not tried the Shred yet, but have done a 30 day challenge with the Wii EA Active, and am now working on C25K, which is a challenge every time I go out. I have completed up to day 2 of week 6, I keep working in this day because it is still a challenge, but I have also done one day of 20 minute running (no walking) -…
  • You are almost a third of the way through it, keep going, your determination will reward you upon completion of the program - you WILL feel good about meeting your goal even if at times it was hard.
  • If running/jogging is your goal you should pursue it. Take it slow as mentioned by other posters and possibly check with your physician. LISTEN to your body, push yourself, but if something hurts beyond what it should.. LISTEN and stop. Try 3 times a week, with one rest day in between. The sense of accomplishment running…
  • I'm not hungry right away in the morning either, I just wait until I am, usually 2 hours after I get up.
  • I have lost the baby weight and about 15 pounds more. Mid-section is looking better all the time, I had a c-section, though so that makes a difference and I gained about 45 pounds while prego. All depends on how elastic your skin is, being a little heavier than I wanted when I got prego and then gaining so much didn't help…
  • In a health and fitness class I took in college we also learned it was a good/healthy habit to weight yourself daily. It can tell you a lot and holds you accountable. Just pick one official weigh in day and stay consistent with weighing in rituals (time of day, what you are wearing, using the bathroom prior to, etc - what…
  • Same, except my official weigh in day is Sunday. I think it is important to be aware of how your body fluctuates up and down, it also helps me to know if I am retaining water and really need to bump up my water intake.
  • Cardio
  • Here's mine - it will really all depend on what you like though. Fresh fruit - any kind you like Salad Fixings Skinless Boneless chicken breasts Fat Free Shredded Cheese Fat Free American Sliced cheese Vegetables - fresh is best but frozen and canned are ok too Nature's Valley Bars - Apple Crisp is my favorite Cereal - I…
  • Agreed. I also add Italian dressing, garlic cloves, a little salt and pepper to the soy and Worcestershire. Yummoo!
  • You can and should log it. I am down to my last 10 pounds and only see a significant loss about once a month, but a loss is a loss and every bit counts. You could also have been holding onto some water weight.
