Total broscience. Somotypes have been debunked. Carbs don't turn into fat either....excess calories turn into fat.

You can sync Runkeeper with MFP, and it will upload those calories automatically (not sure if that's what you're already doing). Then you can just adjust as ^^Doug said....I'd take 20%ish off to account for error.

Yes. I pour it into an eagle shaped glass. 'Merica.

Currently, I'm not completing it because my diary is closed. The only thing that button does is publish it to your news feed and give you the "5 week" weight. It doesn't save your food or anything like that.
-
Then I would suggest maybe adding some accessory work with dumbbells. Dumbbells make each side of your body work on its own, especially upper body, and can help even out weaknesses in the body.
-
What equipment are you doing those lifts with? You say you don't use free weights....does this mean they're on the smith machine?
-
I typically don't drink my calories....eaten calories are more filling. But I still have an occasional apple or orange juice.

I don't think it's gluten free because of the tortilla chips (but there aren't that many on there) but they have this amazing mexican tortilla salad. It's on the "light" menu, but it is sooooo good. And I'm not a salad person at all, but it's what I get every time I go to Cheesecake Factory.

A headlamp is a good idea. I also bought a construction vest...it was less than $10 from Amazon. It's actually super comfortable to run in. Edit: This is the one I have: http://www.amazon.com/Neiko-Visibility-Yellow-Zipper-Reflective/dp/B0030AA3YK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1415281485&sr=8-2&keywords=construction+vest I'd size…

That should be fine. I typically run on my lunch break, and then lift after work. Just make sure you're eating enough to support the extra workouts.
-
You'll still be fine provided you understand the water weight. The scale will go up, but that's okay. You won't accumulate more fat unless you go over maintenance. You can eat a month at maintenance, one day, gradually build up to it, or just jump right in. Doesn't matter.
-
Well, it will, but it's not fat. Expect to put on about 5 lbs...this is just because your glycogen stores will be full. It's water weight, and will drop back off when you return to a deficit.

There is nothing magical about BC that causes you to add weight. Can the hormones stimulate appetite? Yes. It is up to the user to decide what to do with that appetite though.
-
An IUD will not prevent weight loss. It's MUCH more likely that you are inaccurate in how you count your calories. I'm not saying you're lying...I'm saying you might be shocked when you weigh your food instead of measuring it.
-
19 lbs in three weeks is not unrealistic depending on your binge habits. Suggestions? Set an appropriate calorie goal and stick to it.
-
Who told you that you should eat 1200 just because you're 5'4"? I'm that height, and I'm losing on 2100.

A barbell is still going to be superior. Free weights trigger your stabilizer muscles to work. A Smith machine does some of the work for you.
-
Squatting in a Smith will not help with form for a barbell squat.
-
Yep, I do. I didn't have this problem before getting the Mirena though...it's one of the annoying side effects I deal with.
-
This is what I do.

-
This is fabulous. Congratulations!
-
At this point, I bow out. Good luck on your journey. Or his. Whatever.

These are the parts we're referring to when we say he needs to take responsibility. It's not your job to monitor any of this.
-
Agreed. Heck, I'm on a deficit, and I have plenty of room for "junk food". However...it's not junk food. There are some foods that are nutrient dense, and there are some that aren't as nutrient dense. Nothing wrong with them. They are still a source of macros. My mom used to ride my hindend about how I'd eat chocolate and…

When he decides to change, he'll make time. Just like the rest of us here. And he'll find answers and guidance here...just like most of us did.
-
If it is, he needs to attack that logic with his upstairs brain.

I would keep walking. You might want to invest in a foam roller to help relieve some of the soreness.
-
I like how strong I am...physically and mentally. I'm such a different person than I was even a few months ago, and I like who I'm becoming.

Typically, you want them in close. However, where exactly you hold the bar depends a lot on shoulder mobility. I hold a few inches out from my shoulders.
