  • Great job with your loss
  • It's so great to hear of your accomplishments and struggles. It is totally inspiring me as I start week 3 tomorrow. I ran a 5k on Sat am for my W2D3 and had to walk a little. I am excited about the week ahead, although before I read your posts, I was considering sleeping in. Thanks so much everybody for being such…

  • I understand your sinus frustrations mixed with migraines or headaches. I have recently found relief by using a nasal xylitol solution you can buy in vitamin or health stores or off the internet if you google it. It has kept me sinus infection free since using it, I sleep better and breathe easier and exercise easier as…
  • good job everyone. I am going to start week two tomorrow. I'll be travelling for work and staying in an area that I may need to use the indoor treadmill. Help me. I guess now I'll be able to find out how fast I go. Is 6mph a good place to start? Years ago, (7 or more) I trained for and ran a half marathon with my husband…
  • Thanks, that is the correct way of saying it. I just know that when you put the same pound of fat next to a pound of muscle, the muscle is much smaller.
  • Now that I'm at the point where my kids can stay home alone while I run (they're 9 and 13) I really don't have an excuse. I remember the days where I would bundle them in the winter (we didn't have a gym membership all the time due to at-home mom status) and put them in the little red wagon with dry breakfast cereal,…
  • fat weighs less than muscle, but muscle will naturally burn fat for later. There is often a gain when you first start to exercise, but you will notice inches falling off even if the scale doesn't budge.
  • This is interesting. My husband recently said that people at work purposely bring crap to share in order to sabotage other peoples health and to feel like they have a partner in misery. I have been much more conscientious about this since he said it. I think after looking around, that it may be true.
  • mix it with equal parts of marshmallows and peanuts put it in snack sized glad bags let yourself have one bag per day I love the stuff as well
  • Your loss is going really well. I hope to do as well. I guess I need to set some goals for 30pounds. I don't even have a date as to when I want it off. Yikes
  • Usually increasing bananas in your diet will help with muscular cramping. When my kids were little my husband travelled a lot and it was really difficult to find time to run. You do well to get it done with 4! Are some in school anyway?
  • Thanks Today went well. I ran it in my neighborhood in the dark at 5:30am. It is all hills, so I was worried I wouldn't make it. I think the 5 minute warm-up walk saved me. I was able to complete it just fine. I love how emotionally positive I remain on run days. It's hard for me to not run, wanting that euphoria. I know…
  • So...I started to run last November for the first time in many years. I was able to complete 3 5k's this summer all over 30 minutes. Now I haven't run since mid-July and want to get back to it. I want to be able to run more easily as a regular form of exercise. I pulled the schedule off the internet and ran the 3/1 for…
  • I'd like to be part of this. Do I just add you as a friend and then get started? Let me know.
  • I'd love to start, but don't want to spend money on it. Can you tell me where to find information for free, or apps for free?
  • The advice of Karena7 is great. Especially about the part of letting the man have his opinion. You so often see in a couple that one gives in all the time. Charger440's wife is probably missing out on his intellect and choices. Respect is very important. The first year of marriage is the hardest. Never try to be the…
  • That is sooooooo great. Keep up the good work. The extra years of life will all be worth it. How many years was your anniversary?
  • I've lived in Green Bay and now Idaho and run all the way through the winter. I love snowy runs as long as the ice isn't too bad. When I dress for a cold run, I use Under Armour bottoms and tops, then light pants over the bottoms. My favorite is HornyToad from REI. I don't wear any outer wear on top during the run because…
