My fella gets Mens Helath & Mens Fitness Magazines, and all the articles recommend taking 1 rest day a week. Particularly important if you're doing heavy weights that you rest the muscles the day after - so alternate uppper/lower body workouts so they're not constantly being overworked day after day as they will fatigue.
