Loved the show. Loved the opening theme as well. I can't watch youtube at work but I will check it out at home.

What percentage of the country's wealth does the richest 10% own? I don't know, I'm asking. But without that knowledge, the complaint of tax burden is empty.

I knew that would get jumped on as soon as I posted it. I didn't mean to offend anyone or declare one degree to be more "acceptable" than another degree. However, my point is that taking out a loan for an education should be a fiscal decision, and too many times currently it is not treated as such. Borrowing large sums of…

Yep. The student loan needs to go through a similar correct as to what happened to the housing market. Forgiving student loans is not the fix.
-
The most simple solution would be to make qualifying for a student loan more realistic. Make the loan qualification based on the likelihood of being able to repay said loan. Make the student declare their intentions before going to school. Want to borrow 10K a year to get a degree in molecular biology? Approved! Want to…

Which is why people just out of college should not aspire to buying a brand new car out of college, when other more immediate financial needs are present. Plus on top of that, one of the most basic financial truths is that buying a new car is a bad financial decision, and it is certainly not a birthright of a recent…

Another nail hit on the head. Too many people are borrowing too much money to get an education in a field that doesn't make much money, and then they complain about the cost of education. I'll take my wife for an example, so I don't offend anyone else. She went to an expensive private school to get an education degree. She…

There are a couple of issues at play here. As for him, it's a lame move to tell you he'd do something, and then decide to change his mind and back out on his word. Like other posters have said, once a baby comes, there's a lot of scrifice involved and giving up alcohol is going to be pretty minor compared to the sleep and…

So, are you telling me I have to tell my wife that her dream of me looking like William Levy is dead?

Good point. Guys generally try to do the right thing, but the delivery isn't always the best (and for the record, women occasionally make the same mistake). I generally try to look at the intended message when the delivery isn't optimal to get to the point trying to be made. One of my favorite sayings applies here: life is…

I had a crush on my now wife for about ten years before fate finally gave us the opportunity to get together.

I came here to post that I don't find the V particularly attractive on a woman, but I stand corrected. Nice work.

In my experience, the correct answer is "both."

I'm totally offended. I can go about 4 days between shaving before most people can even notice I haven't shaved. I have very thin and mostly blonde facial hair (just a few areas of darker hair, that once it grows long enough you can notice). I suppose I'm not a "real man" huh? How superficial....

Flirting isn't just saying naughty things to each other. Actually, in my book, flirting is rarely saying naughty things.
-
Good post, and I agree. My wife is a huge flirt, I know that and it doesn’t bother me, so I don't have much reserve about flirting myself. It's pretty easy to stay within the boundaries of what is acceptable (whatever your boundaries of acceptability are), and if you start to question if you are getting close, you…

Solo stuff is awesome too. I'd have to say the second best show I've seen was Eddie Vedder solo on the Uke tour. Seeing him in this small, intimate venue, and him filling the place up with his talent was amazing.

That would have been an awesome show. GnR when they still had to work for it, and Aerosmith before they went completely soft.
-
Do what ever you have to do to get to a show the next time they tour. You will not be disappointed.

PJ20: Pearl Jam's 20th anniversary concert/festival last summer in Alpine Valley, WI. Awesome show.

I wore pink underwear today and *poof* cured cancer.

We'll always have the memories...

Laughing at my jokes. My sense of humor is an acquired taste, so I was always weak for a woman who would laugh at me without needing an explantion.

I think that's the key right there. For whatever reasons (jealousy, insecurity), those in your life who are overweight themselves aren't always the most supportive of your weight loss if they aren't ready to lose weight themselves. If your g/f is overweight and complains that you exercise too much, invite her to work out…

I love being able to slip an arcane Seinfeld quote into everyday conversation. I was playing pickup basketball on Sunday, and a girl playing with us wanted to do rock-paper-scissors for ball to start each game. I beat her with rock two games in a row, and the following conversation ensued: her: Ugh, why do you always pick…

For those talking about composting, what do you need to start that? Also, is there much odor? Living in the burbs, I don't know if the neighbors would appreciate it, but I do have a deep lot to hide it in back if need be.

We moved mid summer last year, and we now have a nice spot for a garden. The previous owners had a raised box full of ferns and other leafy plants, but I plan on pulling half of it out. I want to try a salsa garden this summer. I've started the following inside: -Tomatoes -Green, red, & mixed hot peppers -Onions -Cilantro…

Apparently she did....but I'm not sure who "she" is.

No they don't.

Life span in the paleolithic era was actually higher than the lifespan at the turn of the 20th century. There's a lot more that goes into lifespan data than just diet. Actually, I'd probably guess that diet is a historically insignificant factor in lifespan data, when comparing time frames.
