  • I'll chime in with a male point of view. I happen to agree with a lot of what Isellnow said. I think most guys are naturally more guarded with their feelings, and aren't so free to just let those feelings show through, even for the most important person in their life. They are taught to keep those feelings inside, and only…
  • I saw this one on someone's profile around here I think: "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels."
  • Exactly. Thanks to the internet, and other sources, there is very little information out there that can't be had for free. People can learn to do just about anything for themselves. However, each person has to make their own decision about what information to pay for, and what to research and discover for themselves.…
  • I'm not sure that this was what maletac was getting at, but it would be nice if the site required BB coaches (and any other product marketers, but BB seems to be the largest population) to have to identify themselves as such in their user name. This would allow the newbies (as well as others) to quickly filter through the…
  • Out of the way! You look great, RN. Great work, and congrats..
  • Mass manufactured clothes vary so much from one item to the next. I own jeans that very in size by four inches in the waist, yet fit me the same. Heck, when I buy jeans these days, I'll bring in multiple jeans of the exact same size to try on, and they'll usually fit differently. I think stores know this, and would be why…
  • My wife currently worsk for LA Fitness as a group class instructor. I'm guessing your are interviewing for personal training jobs? I know those are two different animals, so her experience may not be matter to what you're looking for. Regardless, she loves it. As a class instructor, she's not pushed to sell anything, and…
  • You're pissed off because you didn't try on an item of clothing before taking the tags off, and the store enforced a publicly displayed policy?
  • Logically, black Friday deals are to get people in the store to buy certain products (most of the time at a loss or at least at cost) in the hopes of the customer buying something else while they are there. Obviously it makes sense that their policies will be altered not to price adjust that product for everyone who bought…
  • I would be THE PROCRASTINATOR! I would fight for truth, and justice, and for all deadlines to be moved back. "Remember kids, why do today what you can put off until tomorrow!"
  • Just becuase something is "natural" does not mean it is healthy. Arsenic is "natural" but I sure wouldn't put it in my coffee. I'm not going to declare stevia safe or not, I personally have no idea and I've read plenty of information pro and con. But, I will say that anyone using its natural occurence as evidence of its…
  • Can't link pics at work, but I would have to go with Brad Pitt, specifically in "Troy." Built, but not huge.
  • Congrats!
  • I gotta disagree with you on Chipotle, for a couple of points. First, just like with Subway, you can put whatever you want on it, and leave whatever you want off. I can make a sub 500 calorie Chipotle burrito bowl just as easily as I can make a 1000+ calorie Subway sandwich. I'd also argue that the quality of meats at…
  • That cant be a bad sign.
  • Did he tell you who he fancies? Was it you, but then it was awkward, or did he not tell you?
  • Another "welcome" from a fellow Minnesotan.
  • I played this game with my wife for about ten years before we finally opened up and owned up to each other how we felt. That was ten years of being together we lost. My only advice is to not let that happen to you. Yes, it could be embarassing if who is wants to tell you is not you. But, based on the limited information,…
  • I don't have a whole lot to add other than what has already been said, and to echo the fact that you definitely aren't "over doing it." The only thought I have is does he have his own time to do his own thing? My wife is a fitness instructor, so she gets to get her workouts in while she's at work. We've got three kids, so…
  • That's like saying chocolate and lettuce have the same amount of calories because 100 calories of chocolate and 100 calories of lettuce have the same amount of calories.
  • "Bumping" is posting in a thread for no other reason than to "bump" it back up to the top of the list of recently posted in threads so it doesn't fall too far down, and people stop seeing it.
  • Could be McNuggets. Could be Subway meat. It's all the same.
  • Here's a thread where a lot of the "guys" hang out: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/114354-man-to-man-a-support-system-for-men-part-2?page=4
  • I hate it...but I...no I just hate it.
  • It is exagerated in the sense that everyone in the movie (from MN) had the accent. Not everyone sounds like that. However, my moms family is from Brainerd, and when I go up there I definitely hear the exagerated form of the accent in a lot of people.
  • ie "They're after me Lucky Charms!"
  • My post was 100% sarcastic. For some reason, everyone here in MN is convinced that we don't speak with an accent, but I think the movie "Fargo" pretty much proves our accent. I think everyone has an accent. I don't know if there an an absolute correct way to speak english, but I think if there is, it would have to be one…
  • I used to talk to a woman in Texas for work all the time. I just loved to listen to her say y'all and fixin'. We got pretty casual, so when I called her, or she called me, I would always start the conversation with "I bet you can't go this whole phone call without saying "y'all" or "fixin." It was easy money. As for me,…
  • I agree with the OP. It's too bad myths like this are continued with certain adds on this side, such as the one with the well know "fitness" expert asking the question "what spot can I help you reduce?"
  • That's really surprising to me. We have five iPods in the family, and no one has had issues. I used to run with my big iPod, and love it. I even dropped it while running when it was brand new. I watched it cartwheeling down the sidewalk after having it for just a couple of weeks (no case at that time), and it still works…
