I am currently struggling with this myself. I am considering the copper IUD since it does not release a hormone. I wish you the best of luck and agree that you're better off discussing with your doctor what would be best for you.

Thanks for sharing:smile:

my guess would be that you didn't get enough fiber for the day. When I feel this way I snack on something like dry cereal or yogurt. Just remember the reasons why you are doing this and if you need to eat more just go for a short walk

Does anyone know how to estimate the calories burned by doing the 30 day shred without haveing a heart rate monitor? The one I have is highly inaccurate
-
Yeah I will do it with you? Are you doing any other exercise or just the shred?
-
No I hadn't thought about that, but it is a good idea. I imagine that would take the focus off the weight loss and put it on the race and the weight would just naturally fall off. What kind of food do you eat while training though?

Goodmorning everyone, I hope everyone has a great weekend and congratulations to everyone who lost weight  SW 130 CW 125.4 GW 115

I agree that you shouldn't get bogged down by the particular's of this. Yes carbs give you energy but from my understanding for the first half hour of a workout you are working off what you recently ate. After that half hour your body starts to use its stored energy; which is what carbs turn into if they are not used up…

I understand completely! I hear it all the time from my family and friends telling me not to be obsessive about this and that I don't need to lose weight anyway. I always tell them, "I am not dieting, I am making a lifestyle change and want to do it now to develope the good habits before it becomes a problem and I HAVE to…

I always get turkey breast meat for lunch, light yogurt, oatmeal, and I really love the frozen talapia you can get from safeway they come individually wrapped and are less than 100 per filet so yummy. You can never go wrong with fruits and veggies either.

Listen to what your body wants. There is a lot of people on here that will agree that "cheat day" is good for them. Some people will say that a whole day is not good for them personally, I would have to agree. I try to limit it to just a little bit of the "bad" stuff for two reasons; 1) being on a healthy diet and going…

Thank you I really appreciate the encouragement. We all do have obstacles to overcome this is true

I agree completely, working out in the morning also jump starts your metabolism

I will be very honest, I dont really know what I am doing so I alternate a lot which I hear is actually very good anyway that way your body doesn't get use to the same workout. So what I just started doing is challanging myself to run for as long as I can, which isn't very long since I just started only about 13 mins, then…

I felt this same way when I first started on here. I agree what some others have said that you should be eating every 2 to 4 hrs. If you do this you wont binge and over eat. I find that I get hungrier when I eat fruits and veggies so I am carefull now with when and how much I eat of those. Some examples of snacks I like to…

Thank you so much for posting this!, This sounds so yummy I can't wait to try it.

I am not an expert or anythinga and honestly am still trying to figure it all out myself. I do know however that muscle weighs more than fat. So you may be building muscle and losing fat and therefore not seeing the scale move. Have you measured yourself? You may actually see results this way, I know I have. Try doing more…

Thanks everyone I will have to find something to bring to work that has more protein and or fiber that is low cal too, I appreciate all the support.

I go to a gym called Anytime fitness. It is about $35 a month and I like it well enough. It is on the small side but it is 24hrs which I do like. It does not have a swimming pool or any classes offered. I don't mind not having the classes but swimming is such a great workout that offers low impact on your body while…
